But once you get past the Russian listing title, this little 3-star spot on El Ahyaa Street is actually a pretty solid find in Hurghada, especially if you’re not looking to blow your entire budget on accommodation.

The studio setup works really well – I mean, it’s not huge, but honestly, how much time are you spending indoors when you’re in Egypt anyway? What really sold me was stepping out onto that little balcony in the morning with my coffee and realizing you can actually see a slice of the Red Sea between the buildings. The pool area gets busy around 11 AM when families start filtering down, but if you’re an early riser like me, you’ll have it practically to yourself. The water’s kept pretty clean, though the deck chairs have seen better days – just saying. What’s genuinely great about this place is the beach situation. You know how some hotels claim they’re “near the beach” and then it’s a 20-minute walk through construction zones? Not here. There’s this public beach stretch that’s maybe a 3-minute stroll away, and yeah, it’s actually free – no pushy beach club guys trying to rent you overpriced loungers. The sand’s decent, nothing Instagram-perfect, but the snorkeling right off the shore is surprisingly good. I saw more colorful fish in one afternoon than I expected.

The neighborhood itself is pretty authentic Hurghada – you’ll hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque (which I actually found peaceful, but light sleepers might want earplugs), and there’s this little corner shop run by Ahmed who speaks perfect English and stocks cold Stella beers for way less than hotel prices. The building’s got that slightly worn Egyptian apartment complex vibe, but everything works – AC keeps things cool, hot water’s reliable, and the WiFi actually reaches the pool area. Parking’s never been an issue when I’ve visited, which is honestly rare in this part of town. I’d recommend this place if you’re the type of traveler who wants a clean, functional base without paying resort prices. It’s got that local feel without being sketchy, and the 8-star rating makes sense – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge, and maybe download that translation app before you arrive.
