So I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Mirage Bay Resort & Aqua Park in Hurghada, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes these spots surprise you in the best way. The resort sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to Hurghada’s main strip to grab dinner elsewhere if you want, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise. The aqua park was actually what caught my attention first – I mean, you can hear the kids having a blast from the moment you step out of your taxi, and honestly, that energy is kind of infectious.

What really works about this place is how they’ve managed to pack in way more than you’d expect for the price point. The water slides aren’t just token kiddie stuff – there’s actually some decent-sized ones that’ll get your heart pumping a bit. I spent more time there than I care to admit, and the pools stay refreshingly cool even when Hurghada’s afternoon sun is doing its worst. The rooms are… well, they’re clean and functional, which is really what you need when you’re spending most of your day outside anyway. Air conditioning works (crucial in Egypt, obviously), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I did notice some wear around the edges – you know, bathroom fixtures that have seen better days, that sort of thing – but nothing that actually impacted my stay.

Here’s the thing though – the staff really makes this place. They’re genuinely friendly, not just going through the motions, and several of them speak decent English which helps a lot. The restaurant food is pretty standard resort fare, but they do a nice job with the local dishes when they venture in that direction. I’d actually recommend walking about ten minutes down toward the main road where there’s this little local place that does incredible koshari – the resort staff pointed me there, which I appreciated. The beach access is real, by the way, not just some tiny strip of sand. You’ve got actual Red Sea right there, and while it’s not the most pristine coral reef area (you’ll want to take a boat trip for that), it’s perfectly good for swimming and the water is that impossible shade of turquoise that makes every photo look fake. Check-in was smooth, parking is free and easy, and they’re pretty flexible about late checkouts if you ask nicely. Would I call it luxury? Definitely not. But for what you pay, especially if you’re traveling with kids or just want a solid base for exploring Hurghada without breaking the bank, it actually delivers pretty well.

  Jeg kjøpte all inclusive i resepsjonen separat og hadde tilgang til alle resortens muligheter.
  Eieren Barky var aldri langt unna,han kjørte taxi også.Dermed fikk jeg flyplasstransport til en billig penge.Prisen var utrolig bra og ved kjøp av allincluisve ble dette en tilnærmet noramlt opphold til en ekstremt god pris.Anbefales!

  Plage magnifique,chalet impeccable.
  J'ai loué mon chalet à un particulier qui vit à l'étranger,sans passer par l'hôtel,sont chalet répondais à mes attentes et le propriétaire était parfait.
  
  What could be improved: Le complex balnéaire état catastrophique .Pas d'entretien,saleté,le milieu du village est une décharge à ciel ouvert dans des chambres et chalets abandonné.
  Énormément de la clientèle orientale masculine qui chasse la clientèle féminine étrangère,disons les harcèlent carrément. J'ai connu cet endroit en 2006,il s'est dégradé en structure et équipements et aucun entretien n'est effectué…
