Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first saw the name “وحدة فندقية سياحية بكمبوانداند وسط الغردقة,” I had zero idea what to expect. But this little spot in the Desert Beer compound (yes, that’s actually what it translates to) turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you stumble across in Hurghada when you’re not trying too hard.

The thing about this place is it’s tucked away in the Kawther area, which honestly feels like the real Hurghada – you know, where actual people live and work instead of just the resort strip everyone talks about. You’re still close enough to everything that matters, but you get this sense of being somewhere authentic. The compound itself is pretty quiet, which I appreciated after spending time in some of the louder hotel zones closer to the marina. Check-in was surprisingly smooth, though the staff’s English varies depending on who’s working – but they’re genuinely helpful, and there’s always someone around who can sort things out if you need something.

What really won me over was how practical everything felt. The rooms aren’t going to win any design awards, but they’re clean and actually functional – decent AC that works when you need it (crucial in Hurghada, trust me), and the beds are more comfortable than you’d expect for a 3-star place. The compound has this lived-in feel that I kind of loved – palm trees that aren’t perfectly manicured, little pathways that make sense once you figure them out. You can hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque in the mornings, which might bother some people but I found it pretty grounding, actually. Parking’s never an issue here, which is more than I can say for a lot of places in central Hurghada, and if you’re planning to explore beyond the tourist areas, having your own wheels makes a huge difference.

The 7.7 rating makes total sense to me – it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises without any fancy bells and whistles. You’re not getting a spa or multiple restaurants, but you are getting a solid base for exploring Hurghada that won’t eat up half your travel budget. The location means you can walk to local cafes and shops that tourists usually miss, and it’s maybe a 10-minute drive to the corniche when you want that Red Sea view. I mean, if you’re looking for all-inclusive luxury with poolside service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere authentic and comfortable where you can actually experience a bit of local life while still being close to everything… well, you could do a lot worse than this little compound in Kawther.

  بجد من انضف الاماكن اللى نزلت فيها كل شى نضيف وجديد ومكان مريح وقريب من كل حاجه والتواصل مع الاستاذه صحبه المكان كان سهل وكانت بتقدملنا المساعده بكل محبه
