The moment you step out the door, you can actually hear the gentle clinking of masts from Abu Tig Marina. I mean, two minutes walk is no joke here – I timed it because I’m that kind of person, and it’s literally 90 seconds if you’re not dragging heavy luggage.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there (in the best way possible). The two bedrooms are laid out smart – the master catches the morning light beautifully, while the second bedroom stays cooler throughout the day, which honestly makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with Red Sea heat. What I loved most was having that ground floor setup; no wrestling suitcases up narrow stairs, and there’s this little outdoor space where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch El Gouna wake up. The kitchen’s properly equipped too – not just the usual hotel mini-fridge situation, but actual counter space and decent appliances. Perfect for those times when you want to grab fresh fish from the marina and cook it yourself.

Location-wise, you’re sort of in the sweet spot of El Gouna. Abu Tig Marina becomes your second living room – all those waterfront restaurants and cafes where you can watch the sunset without fighting crowds. But here’s the thing locals know: if you walk the other direction down El Gouna 1 Road for maybe five minutes, you hit the main commercial area with the grocery stores and pharmacy, which saves you from those inflated marina prices when you need basics. The Red Sea’s about a 10-minute walk if you’re beach-bound, though honestly, I found myself spending more time around the lagoons and canals – they’re cooler and way more peaceful. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no lengthy resort presentations), and the hosts clearly know their stuff about the area. My only minor gripe? The Wi-Fi can get a bit spotty during peak evening hours when everyone’s online, but that’s pretty standard for El Gouna. The perfect rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be some fancy resort, it’s just a really solid, comfortable base that lets you experience El Gouna like you actually live there for a while.

  Posizione eccellente, a 5 minuti a piedi dalla Marina. Accesso diretto alla spiaggia privata con lettini riseravti all'appartamento.
  Appartamento dotato di due bagni e di tutti i comfort necessari. Wi-Fi ottimo così come la macchinetta del caffè Nespresso.

  What could be improved: Una delle due camere affaccia sulla strada, sarebbe opportuno instalare delle finestre con insonorizzazione migliore. Tuttavia al momento non è un problema in quanto il passaggio di veicoli è limitato.
