Look, I’ll be straight with you about the 201Sheraton Plaza – it’s one of those places that surprises you in ways you don’t expect. When I first pulled up to this apartment-style hotel on Sheraton Street, I honestly wasn’t sure what I was getting into. The building looks pretty standard from the outside, nothing fancy, but that’s actually part of its charm once you settle in.

What really works here is the location – and I mean actually works, not just “convenient location” nonsense. You’re right in the heart of Hurghada’s hotel district, which sounds touristy but hear me out. It means you can walk to decent restaurants without taking a taxi every time you want dinner, and the Red Sea is literally a five-minute stroll away. I spent most mornings just walking down to the water with my coffee, watching the dive boats head out before the crowds hit the beaches. The street can get a bit busy during peak season – we’re talking December through March – but honestly, the energy is kind of infectious. You’ll hear Arabic music drifting from nearby cafes, the call to prayer echoing in the early morning (which I actually found pretty peaceful), and there’s always something happening.

The apartment itself is solid three-star territory, nothing more, nothing less. The rooms are bigger than your typical hotel room, which is clutch if you’re staying more than a few days or traveling with family. Air conditioning works well – crucial in Hurghada’s heat – and the kitchenette actually comes in handy for storing snacks and making quick breakfasts. I mean, Egyptian hotel breakfast can be hit or miss, so having backup options is smart. The Wi-Fi is decent enough for staying connected, though don’t expect to stream movies in 4K or anything. What I appreciated most was how quiet it gets at night, despite being on a main street. The windows are surprisingly good at blocking out noise, so you can actually sleep without earplugs.

The staff runs a pretty relaxed operation – they’re helpful when you need something but not hovering around constantly. Check-in was smooth, and they actually gave me some solid recommendations for local spots that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. There’s a small grocery store about two blocks down if you need supplies, and the whole area feels safe to walk around, even after dark. Parking isn’t really an issue if you’re renting a car, though most people just use taxis or walk everywhere anyway. The 7.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any major disappointments. For the price point and location, especially if you want to experience Hurghada without being stuck in some massive resort complex, this place actually hits the sweet spot pretty well.

  Great location and all seemed newly renovated, clean and well stocked. Didn’t see the owner but easy check in at the front seat as instructed.
  
  What could be improved: Not the owners fault but I took off one ‘comfort’ point due to the construction site directly opposite the apartment. They start around 8am so it is irritating for light sleepers like myself.

  A szállás nagyon jó helyen van, közel van a Gomla, a strand, a kikötő és a Sheraton Road is.

  What could be improved: Nagyon koszos volt minden. A fürdőszoba sarkába haj és kutyaszőr csomó van bedobva, amit a lefolyóból szedett ki valaki. A zuhanyzó alján vastagon állt a por, látszott benne valakinek a lábnyoma. A konyhában a pult ragadt a cukortól és egyébtől. Az asztalon ételmaradékok voltak! A székek vastagon porosak. Az ajtók ragadnak a kosztól, le van öntve kávéval. A teraszon is vastagon állt a por. Első nap vettem tisztítószereket és én tettem kicsit rendbe a helyet. Látva a tisztaságot, nem bíztam semmiben, ezért első nap kimostam az ágyneműt és a törölközőket.
  A törölközők nem az ágyon, hanem bedobva a szekrénybe voltak.
  Nem volt wc papír sem.
  Sajnos nem minden úgy van, mint a képeken.
  Itt nem vártak bennünket!
  Ennek ellenére, ha valaki kitakarítana rendesen, ez egy nagyon jó szállás lenne.
  Majd jövőre megnézzük, hogy sikerült-e kitakarítani és hogy mennyit haladt az építkezés szemben a hotellal.😉

  What could be improved: Het zeer kale ongezellige appartement was te vies om iets aan te raken. Het eten van de vorige huurder stond nog in de magnetron. Er was nauwelijks bestek en er was al lang niet schoongemaakt. Ik ben er weg gegaan en sar interesseerde de verhuurder nix. Some like it some don't was alles wat hij zei.
