Look, I’ll be straight with you about A425 Sunny Sands – it’s one of those places that doesn’t look like much online, but honestly surprised me when I stayed there last spring. The name sounds a bit chaotic (I mean, they literally threw everything into it – chalet, seaview, free WiFi), but the actual spot on Arabia Road is pretty solid. You’re basically tucked away from the main Hurghada chaos, which I actually loved because you can still hear the Red Sea at night without the constant honking from Sheraton Road.

The chalet itself feels more authentic than those cookie-cutter resort complexes further north. You know what I appreciated? The balcony actually faces the water – not some random courtyard or construction site like half the places claiming “seaview” around here. The WiFi thing they advertise so prominently? Yeah, it works, which is honestly more than I can say for some of the fancier hotels I’ve tried in the area. Mornings are the best time there – grab your coffee and watch the fishing boats head out while the Red Sea turns from deep blue to that incredible turquoise. The staff speaks decent English, and they’re genuinely helpful about diving spots and local restaurants, not just trying to sell you overpriced tours.

Here’s the thing though – it’s a 3-star place with a 7.8 rating, so manage your expectations accordingly. The hot water can be temperamental (typical for this part of Hurghada, honestly), and you’ll hear your neighbors sometimes since the walls aren’t super thick. But the trade-off is worth it – you’re paying way less than those big resort chains and getting an actual slice of local life. The little fruit vendor sets up right outside most mornings, and there’s this family-run restaurant about a five-minute walk down Arabia Road that does the best grilled fish I had in Egypt. Plus, if you want the resort experience for a day, the big hotels are close enough for their beach clubs. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who wants to explore Hurghada rather than just lounge by a pool all week.

  Nice location and access to the beach was very nice! Overall good value for the price.
  
  What could be improved: It was not obvious to find, the pin on the map led us to the palacio Hotel, which is close by, but this apartment is in the Scandic resort.
  
  The name led us to believe it had a sea view, whereas its on the side of the street which is noisy. There was no wifi at first, we had to find the modem in its box and plug it for it to work.
