You know what? Al Dora Residence Suites really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. I’ll be honest, when I first pulled up to this place on El Helal street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star property. But there’s something about the way they’ve set up these suites that just works, especially if you’re planning to stay in Hurghada for more than a couple nights.

The thing that immediately struck me was how spacious everything feels. I mean, you’re getting actual apartment-style living here, not just a cramped hotel room with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. The kitchenette in my suite was surprisingly well-equipped – I actually ended up cooking breakfast a few times because, honestly, hotel breakfast gets old fast when you’re staying somewhere for a week. The staff seemed genuinely surprised when I asked about the nearest grocery store (it’s about a 10-minute walk toward the main Sheraton road, by the way), but they were super helpful once they realized I wasn’t just another quick beach vacation tourist. The whole place has this residential vibe that makes you feel less like you’re staying in a hotel and more like you’ve got a temporary home base in Egypt.

What really sold me on Al Dora, though, was the practical stuff that travel websites never tell you about. The WiFi actually works throughout the building – I was taking video calls from my balcony without any issues. Parking was never a problem, which is honestly a relief in Hurghada where some places make you hunt for street spots. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet, especially compared to some of the resort areas closer to the beach. You’ll hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque, obviously, but it becomes part of the rhythm of the place after a day or two. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no endless upselling or confusing policies, just friendly people who seemed to actually care that you had a good experience. I’d say this place hits that sweet spot where it’s comfortable and well-run without being flashy or overpriced. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s solid, reliable, and honestly more interesting than staying in another cookie-cutter resort where every day feels exactly the same.

  The place was clean and quiet, the pool was lovely, and the beach — just amazing!
  
  What could be improved: The buffet at the restaurant is limited, and one of the chefs doesn’t treat guests very well. Also, there’s no direct access to the beach — you have to go outside and walk about 7 minutes to get there.

  We really enjoyed it here. The hotel is in a quiet location. The food was delicious and everyone was very nice. Thank you for resolving the situation with the thief. We will definitely be back sometime.

  Liked everything. Nice peaceful clean . Good sized rooms and the restaurant had a lovely variety of foods. Not too much. Just right. What an excellent chef.

  They did try to fix it and offered us another room if it wasn't fixed but we didn't bother.

  Management and staff were friendly and willing to help when concern was raised. Clean, large room, comfortable bed,beach, good buffet food selection provided a nice restful two days after the hot and hectic 5 days of ruins visits at luxor.
  
  What could be improved: my booked garden view room was not available thus resulted in receiving a city view room which was noisy from some near by construction in the afternoon , but the afternoon/ night desk staff were willing and able to help in finding alternates. Thank you.
