Look, I’ll be straight with you about Aladdin Beach Resort – it’s one of those places that surprised me in the best way possible. When you’re cruising down Village Road looking for number 17, you might actually drive past it the first time because it doesn’t scream “resort” from the street. But honestly? That’s part of its charm.

The moment you walk through the entrance, there’s this immediate shift from the dusty bustle of Hurghada to something that feels… well, sort of like stepping into that Aladdin story, but without all the touristy kitsch you’d expect. The lobby has these gorgeous traditional tiles – I mean, they’re clearly well-maintained originals, not some fake reproduction – and the staff actually remembers your name after day two, which doesn’t happen at those massive chain places. What really got me was the pool area in the early morning, around 7 AM when most guests are still sleeping off their Egyptian sun from the day before. You can hear the call to prayer drifting over from the nearby mosque, and there’s this peaceful quality to the whole place that you just don’t get at the bigger resorts further up the coast.

The beach access is honestly pretty solid – you’re not fighting crowds like you would at some of the five-star places, and the Red Sea here is just as stunning as anywhere else in Hurghada. The coral’s actually in decent shape if you wade out a bit (bring water shoes, trust me on this one). I spent most afternoons under their beach umbrellas with a book, and the drink service was consistent without being pushy. The rooms are what you’d expect from a four-star – clean, comfortable beds, air conditioning that actually works, and those little touches like decent shower pressure that matter after a long day in the Egyptian heat. Are they Instagram-perfect? Not really, but they’re genuine and comfortable, which I’ll take over sterile luxury any day.

What sets this place apart, though, is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re close enough to walk to some local spots that most tourists never see – there’s this tiny coffee shop about three blocks over where the owner makes the most incredible Turkish coffee, and you’ll find yourself chatting with locals instead of just other resort guests. The hotel shuttle runs to the main tourist areas if you want that scene, but having the option to experience a more authentic side of Hurghada is pretty special. Check-in was smooth, parking’s never been an issue, and while it’s not the quietest place during Egyptian holiday weekends, most of the time it has this relaxed, almost residential feel. The 7.6 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, and for travelers who want solid comfort with genuine character rather than cookie-cutter luxury, Aladdin Beach Resort delivers exactly what you’re looking for.

  The room was comfortable and the food was very tasty. Not the best variety but what was there was delicious. The water park was fantastic and staff there were lovely!
  
  What could be improved: I was told I can't use one of the pools because it is reserved for particular travel agents 😕. Also I wanted some more coffee sachets for my room so I could have a coffee and couldn't get them anywhere wasn't aloud to take coffee from the restaurant to my room no bar is open before 9am that is fine but they should have availability on reception extra coffee and tea sachets. Also because I booked from Egypt I payed for all inclusive but was only provided with soft inclusive upon confirmation. However this was resolved after I made a complaint and told them I will be writing a review. First night I asked the Entertainment team where the mini disco was and the show and they just pointed and said over there that wasn't very helpful as I still had no idea and missed the mini disco the first night. Evening entertainment was very boring.

  The location of the hotel is very beautiful. Various beaches (sandy and rocky). There are sea excursions from within the hotel. Water games are very suitable for children and young people. The prices inside the hotel are reasonable and not exaggerated. All the staff are very helpful and friendly.
