You know what caught me off guard about Aldau Heights Kevin? The name doesn’t really prepare you for what you’re getting into – I mean, it sounds sort of generic, but honestly, this place surprised me in all the right ways. It’s tucked away on Yousef Afifi road in the Elmamsha Elsiahi area, which is actually perfect because you’re close enough to Hurghada’s action without being stuck in the tourist chaos. The first time I pulled up, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a 4-star hotel with such an odd name, but the moment you walk into that lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here.

The thing about this part of Hurghada is that it feels more… real, I guess? You’re not surrounded by massive resort chains and tour groups every five minutes. Instead, you get this nice balance where you can walk to local spots that aren’t completely touristy, but you’re still only a short ride from the marina and the main hotel strip if that’s your thing. The staff here – and I’ve stayed twice now – they remember you, which honestly doesn’t happen much anymore. Last time I was there, Ahmed at the front desk actually asked about my diving certification course from my previous visit. Small thing, but it matters. The rooms are solid too, nothing fancy but they’ve got this clean, comfortable vibe that makes you want to actually relax instead of constantly thinking about what needs fixing. The AC works properly (crucial in Red Sea heat), the shower has decent pressure, and there’s enough space to spread out your dive gear without tripping over everything.

What really sells me on this place though is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re on this quiet residential street, so nights are actually peaceful – no constant traffic or beach party noise drifting up from below. But walk ten minutes and you hit some genuinely good local restaurants that most tourists never find. There’s this little seafood place around the corner where the fish comes straight from the boats, and the owner’s brother actually works at the hotel, which is how I found out about it. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you add it all up – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just doing the fundamentals really well. Check-in is smooth, the WiFi actually works throughout the building, and they’ve got this small pool area that’s never crowded because, well, most people are here for the Red Sea anyway. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between authentic local experience and reliable comfort, especially if you’re planning to spend your days out exploring or diving, this place gets it right.

  The property was well-equipped, offering a variety of amenities that made the stay comfortable and convenient. I appreciated having a washing machine, which was particularly helpful for longer stays. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, making it easy to prepare meals, and the dining area provided a cozy spot to enjoy them. Additionally, the TV and the seating area added a nice touch for relaxation after a day of exploring. Overall, these features contributed to a home-like atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience.
  
  What could be improved: While the property had many great features, there were a few hiccups that added some stress to our stay. For instance, water shortages in Hurghada happened occasionally, which was out of the property’s control but still inconvenient. We also requested a double or king-sized bed but ended up with two separate beds, which wasn’t ideal for a couple’s trip—my wife wasn’t too pleased about that. Additionally, I was surprised to find that housekeeping was an extra charge, considering the price we were already paying for the room. George tried everything in his powers to fix this and in the end we ended up liking this room.
  
  The layout posed some challenges too; if you opened the balcony and main door simultaneously, a gust of wind would blow right through like it owned the place. The location itself was a bit confusing for Uber drivers and food deliveries, which made getting around more complicated than expected but after a while you start to understand it better.
  
  The most stressful part was when we arrived and were told there was no record of our booking through Booking.com, which shouldn’t have been an issue we had to deal with. It added some unnecessary tension right at the start of our trip. Luckily, George was incredibly helpful during all these moments. He reassured us that everything would be sorted out and that we wouldn’t be kicked out. He quickly helped resolve the payment situation and went out of his way to reduce the stress of the situation.
  
  George was also a fantastic guide, suggesting the best places to eat and visit. He even treated us to some great local spots, which really helped turn things around. Lastly, there was a funny moment with security, who insisted I expose my knees to swim (I was wearing three-quarter shorts). As a Muslim, that wasn’t an option for me, but I’m sure they were just doing their job.

  What could be improved: Getting access to the apartment was tricky. First, the security man didn't believe my booking and took me to a back room. I was then brought to another guy who led me through the building and told me to leave my luggage in the aisle. We then walked back and I had to wait for the host who finally took me to the apartment where it was hot and the WIFI wasn't working.

  Замечательный жилой комплекс. Охрана. Во внутреннем дворе отличный чистый бассейн и лежаки. Номер просто супер. Хорошая удобная двуспальная кровать. Хороший Wi-Fi. Трасса прямо в номере это отдельная тема. Она под открытым небом. На ней диваны и кресла с подушками и столик. Вечером очень приятно посидеть и посмотреть. В номере есть всё необходимое. Микроволновая печь, электроплитка. В ванной фен и все необходимые косметические средства, чтобы помыться и вымыть волосы. Несколько полотенец. В общем уютно и удобно. Вернусь обязательно
