So here’s the thing about Alia Beach Residence – it’s one of those places that completely surprised me in the best way possible. I mean, when you see “3-star” you’re not exactly expecting miracles, but honestly? This place punches way above its weight. It sits right on Sheraton Road, which – if you know Hurghada at all – puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything but not drowning in the chaos of the main tourist strips.

The first thing that hit me walking in was how genuinely welcoming the staff were. Not that rehearsed hotel smile thing, but actually friendly people who seem to give a damn about whether you have a good time. The lobby’s nothing fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable, and there’s this lived-in feeling that I actually prefer over those sterile luxury places. You know what really sold me though? The location. You’re literally a stone’s throw from the beach – and I’m talking about the good stretch of coastline, not some rocky afterthought. The Red Sea here is absolutely incredible, by the way. If you’re into snorkeling or diving, you’ll lose your mind over the coral reefs just offshore. Even if you’re not, the water’s this impossible shade of turquoise that makes every photo look like you cranked up the saturation.

The rooms are… well, they’re perfectly fine. Clean, decent beds, air conditioning that actually works (crucial in Hurghada’s heat), and most have some kind of sea view. Don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything, but honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring or lounging by the water, who cares? What I loved was how quiet it gets at night – Sheraton Road can get busy during the day, but evenings are surprisingly peaceful. The hotel’s got this small pool area that’s nothing to write home about, but it’s nice for a quick dip when the beach feels too far (even though it’s not).

Here’s what locals won’t tell you but I will – this area of Hurghada is perfect for actually experiencing Egypt beyond the resort bubble. You can walk to proper Egyptian restaurants, little shops where they’re not immediately trying to fleece tourists, and the marina’s close enough for day trips to Giftun Island. The hotel staff actually gave me solid recommendations for places to eat that weren’t tourist traps, which was refreshing. Parking’s easy if you rent a car, and the whole vibe is just… relaxed. Sometimes that 8.6 rating makes perfect sense – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. For the price point, especially if you’re looking for a base to explore from rather than a place to hide away in, Alia Beach Residence gets it right.

  The location of the property was very central and on the quite side of the touristic Sheraton street with a small private beach. Ground floor of the building was closed and did not look appealing but the rooms / suites were big and very comfortable. The reception manager and team were fantastic and very helpful.

  We stayed here from 8th April till 12th of April with my mother. The room was good for us bed was comfortable AC worked very well. The hotel has a private beach so we can basically walked down to the sea from our room. The view from the balcony is amazing. The staff is kind and friendly. The receptionist is speaks good English, even let as to stay a little bit longer then check out time because of our fly was in the evening. Thanks you Alia beach residence, I can only recommend! Good location as well, shops restaurants, bank is by walk distance

  Hotel was at a great location. Close to main attractions in the city. It had its own beach. It was small but decent and clean. We were able to do some snorkelling and view amazing fish and corals. What I liked the most was very helpful and kind hotel stuff. They helped us with ordering food from a local falafel shop as a courtesy. They took care of things smoothly. Thanks for all of these.

  The place is well located with proximity to Marina, nice restaurants, souvenir shops and local markets. We stayed 4 nights and done a lot of activities which was arranged by the great staff member Ahmed, he was always there to help us with all of our needs, just ask him and he’ll help you, he is the best! They helped us with early check in. Mohammad was also great, helped us a lot especially about late check out due to our late night flight. Rooms are quite convenient with clean comfortable beds, sheets, bathroom and all. I really enjoyed my staying here and would choose this place again if I come back. Sending my gratitude to the great staff members!
  
  What could be improved: There wasn’t any hairdryer and soap in the room but I asked for a hairdryer and they gave me one. Didnot ask for the soap because I had one but I’m sure they would help me right away. Some parts of the bathroom and furniture in the room look a bit old but clean, it didn’t bother us, but it could be better maybe just for the looks.

  Big rooms and nice view in most of the rooms. Nice team, Mohammed was always there to help and provided us with a life-saving water supply.
  Snorkeling at the beach was mesmerizing as a first time red sea underwater experience.
  All in all good stay.
