Okay, so the name “Amazing Roof” might sound a bit over the top, but honestly? They’re not wrong. This little 3-star spot on El-Shohada Street has this incredible rooftop setup that actually makes you forget you’re not staying at some fancy resort. I mean, you’re literally looking out over the marina with all those boats bobbing around, and if you time it right during sunset – well, you’ll understand why they named the place what they did.

The location is pretty solid if you know Hurghada at all. El-Shohada runs parallel to the marina area, so you’re close enough to walk to the waterfront restaurants and dive shops, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tourists and boat engines at 6 AM. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that does amazing breakfast pastries (the owner speaks decent English), and honestly, sometimes I’d grab something there instead of the hotel breakfast just because I liked the walk through the neighborhood. Parking can be a bit tight on the street, but the hotel staff – they’re really helpful about finding spots or suggesting alternatives.

What really surprised me was how well-maintained everything felt for a 3-star place. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re clean and the AC actually works properly (crucial in Hurghada, trust me). The shower pressure is decent, which you can’t always count on in this part of town. But really, you’re going to spend most of your time on that rooftop anyway. They’ve got comfortable seating up there, and in the evenings it becomes this sort of informal gathering spot where guests just end up chatting. I met a German couple who’d been coming back for three years running, and a group of Egyptian friends from Cairo who said they always book this place for their Red Sea trips. The staff seems to know a lot of the regulars, which gives it this nice, familiar feeling – not like those big impersonal hotels along the beach strip. You know what though? If you’re someone who needs to be right in the thick of the tourist action, this might feel a bit too residential. It’s more for people who want to experience Hurghada without being completely surrounded by resort life 24/7.
