Look, I’ll be straight with you about the AMC Royal Hotel & Spa – it’s one of those places that catches you off guard in the best way possible. When you first pull up to El Ahyaa Area (which, honestly, most tourists don’t even know exists), you’re not expecting much because it’s tucked away from the main Hurghada strip. But that’s actually what makes it special, you know? You get all the five-star treatment without the chaos of being right in the thick of things.

The spa here is where they really shine – I mean, after spending days diving in the Red Sea or wandering around the old town, you’ll appreciate having a proper place to unwind that doesn’t feel like a tourist factory. The massage therapists actually know what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given in resort towns. And here’s something most people don’t mention: the pool area gets this amazing late afternoon light that makes everything look golden, especially if you’re there around 4 PM when the day-trippers have headed back to their cruise ships. The staff remembers your name after the second day, which sounds small but makes a huge difference when you’re trying to relax.

Now, I won’t sugarcoat it – the 7.6 rating makes sense because there are some quirks. The Wi-Fi can be spotty in certain rooms (third floor seems to be the sweet spot), and sometimes the hot water takes a minute to kick in. But honestly? These are minor things when you consider that you’re getting genuine hospitality in a part of Hurghada that still feels somewhat authentic. The breakfast spread is solid – not mind-blowing, but they do this Egyptian bread that’s baked fresh every morning, and the coffee is actually decent, which is saying something. What really sold me though was how quiet it gets at night. You’re far enough from Sheraton Road that you don’t hear the late-night party buses, but close enough that a quick taxi ride gets you to the marina or the souk when you want some action. If you’re the type who values having a peaceful home base over being in the center of everything, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  What could be improved: Alcohol is not for Arab even though we booked all inclusive from booking and the Turkish coffee is fees 50 EGP not including in all inclusive!

  Room is comfortable with best view.
  Staff is helpful.
  Food is excellent with a lot of varieties.
  We needed a doctor, the clinic was helpful and fast to respond however we were at middle of night.
  
  What could be improved: Access to the Door at one of our rooms has issues, each time they want to access the room they had to go the reception to reactivate.
  Kids area need to be better and activities to children need to be more.

  I recently spent five incredible nights and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, everything about my stay was perfect.
  What made my stay truly exceptional was the service from the staff, specially Najeb from reception, chef Naser from Palm Island restaurant, Najeh from housekeeping and animation staff, very special thanks to Sasha who makes my kids very happy.
