Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Apartment Azzura in Sahl Hasheesh – the address sounds pretty generic, you know? But walking into 4F-107, I actually did a double-take. This place punches way above its 3-star rating, and that 9.5 score suddenly made complete sense.

The private garden hit me first – not some tiny balcony with a sad plant, but an actual outdoor space where you can have your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display for the entire resort. And about that sea view… well, let me just say the photos don’t do it justice. You’re looking straight out over the Red Sea, and depending on the time of day, the water shifts from this deep turquoise to almost emerald green. I mean, I found myself just standing there with my coffee getting cold more times than I care to admit. The garden setup is pretty clever too – there’s enough space to actually spread out, maybe even work outside if you’re one of those digital nomad types, but it still feels private and tucked away from the main compound buzz.

What really surprised me was how quiet it stays, even during peak season. Sahl Hasheesh can get pretty hectic – I’ve stayed in places where you hear every conversation from three balconies over – but the Azzura compound seems designed to actually give you some peace. The apartment itself feels more like someone’s well-kept vacation home than a rental unit. Everything works (which isn’t always a given in Hurghada, let’s be honest), and whoever stocks this place actually thinks about what travelers need. You’ve got proper kitchen equipment, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. The WiFi holds up even when you’re video calling back home, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof all night. Small victories, but they add up to something pretty comfortable. The location works in your favor too – you’re close enough to the main Sahl Hasheesh action when you want it, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant resort noise and crowds. It’s maybe a 10-minute walk to the beach clubs and restaurants, which is perfect for those lazy days when you want to venture out but don’t want to commit to a whole expedition. Plus, parking is actually manageable here, which anyone who’s driven around Hurghada during tourist season will appreciate.
