Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartment Hossam 2, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in Hurghada. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up surprising you the most. This little apartment-style hotel sits in one of those quieter pockets of the city where you actually hear birds in the morning instead of just traffic, which is honestly refreshing after staying in some of the busier resort areas along the coast.

What really got me was how genuinely helpful Hossam (yeah, the actual owner) turned out to be. The guy knows Hurghada like the back of his hand – I mean, he pointed me toward this incredible little seafood spot that wasn’t even on my radar, and it ended up being one of the best meals I had in Egypt. The apartment itself is nothing fancy, but it’s clean and spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. The kitchen setup is actually pretty decent if you want to grab some fresh produce from the local market and cook something up, though honestly, with all the amazing food around, I barely used it. The AC works well (crucial in Hurghada’s heat), and the Wi-Fi is solid enough for video calls back home, which saved me from hunting down internet cafes.

Here’s the thing about the location – it’s not right on the beach, but you’re maybe a 10-minute walk to some really nice stretches of coastline that aren’t completely overrun with tourists. I actually preferred this setup because you get that authentic neighborhood feel in the evenings. There’s a little café downstairs where locals hang out, and the owner’s family sometimes joins in for tea around sunset, which felt way more genuine than the resort bubble experience. The 8.7 rating makes total sense when you factor in the price point – you’re getting way more value than you’d expect. Sure, the furniture is a bit dated and the shower pressure could be stronger, but those are minor things when you’re spending most of your time exploring or out on the water anyway. Plus, there’s actually decent parking if you end up renting a car to check out some of the desert excursions or day trips to Luxor. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted a home base that felt more connected to real Egyptian life rather than the sanitized tourist version.

  It's a wonderful apartment in a nice and quiet location. Close to Sheraton Street. What I really loved about it is the details, has a spacious and comfortable living room, all house amenities are covered, from bin bags, cutlery and full kitchen equipment, to plenty of towels, washing machine, iron, hairdryer… Will definitely be looking forward to be back again. Can definitely recommend.

  The apartment was sparkling clean, spacious and quiet so I had a lovely sleep on a big bed. Wifi was fast and reliable which was great, because I work online. The communication with the owner was great. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need for cooking. There are lot of channels on a TV with a big screen. I highly recommend this place to other guests.

  Nice refurbished property in sheraton close to all shops and marina nice kitchen with everything you need pots pans etc and big fridge freezer landlord very helpful if you need anything replies very promptly via wattsapp and meets you at the property on time to collect the key .

  DA EVITARE perché non abbiamo dormito tutta la notte,festa di ragazzi al piano inferiore e superiore,rumori fortissimi e disturbanti perpetui,ascensore attaccato alla cucina con la ventola d’aria nello stesso.Abbiamo chiesto silenzio e siamo stati ignorati dall’host e dai condomini.Un rumore insopportabile e indecente.
