Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Apartment Hossam” on my booking confirmation, I wasn’t exactly expecting much. I mean, it’s a 3-star place in Hurghada, and you know how those can go either way. But honestly? This little gem completely caught me off guard in the best possible way.

The apartment sits on the first floor of this unassuming building, and while the exterior won’t win any architecture awards, stepping inside is like discovering a well-kept secret. Hossam (yes, there’s actually a guy named Hossam, and he’s genuinely lovely) has clearly put real thought into making this space work for travelers. The rooms are spotless – I’m talking about that kind of clean where you actually want to walk around barefoot, which is saying something for Egypt in my experience. What really got me was the attention to little details that most places skip: proper reading lights by the bed, enough outlets for all your devices, and – this might sound silly – but the shower actually has decent water pressure. You’d be surprised how rare that is in this price range around Hurghada.

The location is actually pretty smart, even if it doesn’t scream “prime real estate” at first glance. You’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear the main tourist chaos, but it’s maybe a 10-minute walk to get to the action along the corniche. There’s this little local café just around the corner that serves ridiculously good ful medames for breakfast – Hossam told me about it, and I ended up eating there three mornings straight. The neighborhood feels authentically Egyptian without being overwhelming for visitors, if that makes sense. I noticed families living nearby, kids playing in the streets in the evenings, that sort of genuine community vibe you don’t always get in the resort areas.

What really stands out, though, is how Hossam runs the place. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no hidden fees, no pressure to buy tours, just genuine hospitality. He actually sat down with a local map and marked out his favorite spots, including this fish market that I never would’ve found on my own. The man clearly takes pride in his property, and it shows in ways that matter: the air conditioning works properly (crucial in summer), the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and when I had a minor issue with the door lock, he fixed it within an hour. That 9.7 rating isn’t some fluke – it reflects the kind of experience you get when someone actually cares about their guests.

Sure, it’s not fancy – you won’t find a pool or room service or marble bathrooms. But sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base where you can sleep well, store your stuff safely, and feel like you’re staying somewhere with character rather than another cookie-cutter hotel room. For the price point and the genuine warmth of the whole experience, Apartment Hossam delivers exactly what it promises, and then some.

  We stayed in the apartment for 10 days and had a fantastic experience. The owner was exceptionally kind and responsive, always ready to assist when needed. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We felt completely at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again in the future!

  The best we stayed at Egypt! Finally we found an apartment like in Europe. We extend more nights here.
  Spacious & clean apartment, well equipped kitchen,very helpful and friendly host, response quickly.
  Bed is comfortable, there are 3 air-conditioners, all in good condition.
  Locate at safe area, easy to walk to center, supermarket, convenient stores, cafe shops, etc. everything is perfect her, it totally like a home.
  
  What could be improved: There is just one small body gel in the bathroom, it’s better to provide shampoo and more, but that’s not bother us.

  + Наш самолёт задержали, мы прилетели ночью, хозяин дождался нас и сразу заселились.
  Это прекрасная просторная квартира в самом центре. Чистая, уютная. Очень тёплая для отдыха в феврале, когда ночью температура всего 8 градусов тепла на улице.
  Интернет летает, наши видео встречи проходили без проблем.
  Кухня очень удобная для готовки.
  Горячая вода с хорошим напором и постоянно.
  Сплит система не только охлаждает, но и нагревает помещения (в квартире три кондиционера) и вытяжной вентилятор.
  Рядом огромное количество разных кафе и ресторанов с большим выбором еды, круглосуточные магазинчики и лавки.
  Мы рады, что попали в это место! Рекомендую!
