Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Apartment in Center of Hurghada” listed as a 3-star place, I wasn’t expecting much. But honestly? This little spot completely surprised me, and that 9.2 rating actually makes sense once you spend a night there.

The location is what really gets you – it’s tucked right beside the Metro market (which, if you know Hurghada, is basically where locals actually shop for groceries and random stuff you forgot to pack). You’re on the second floor, so there’s just enough street noise to remind you you’re in the heart of things, but it dies down after the market closes around 10 PM. The Sheraton area isn’t the flashy resort strip that tourists usually think of – it’s more like… well, it’s where people actually live and work in Hurghada. You’ll hear morning calls to prayer drifting through the windows, smell fresh bread from the bakery downstairs, and honestly, it feels way more authentic than those massive resort compounds along the coast.

What struck me most was how the owner actually seemed to get what travelers need. The apartment itself is simple but thoughtful – decent wifi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, a kitchen with actual utensils (not just two bent forks), and surprisingly good water pressure in the shower. The AC works properly too, which in Egyptian summer heat isn’t something you take for granted. You know what really impressed me though? There’s this little balcony where you can sit with morning coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up – vendors setting up their stalls, kids heading to school, that whole genuine slice of daily life you miss when you’re stuck in tourist bubbles. The Metro market downstairs is actually perfect for grabbing fresh fruit, bottled water, or those little things you always forget – and the prices are local prices, not inflated tourist rates.

I mean, sure, it’s not luxury – the furniture’s a bit worn and the building entrance could use some TLC – but there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t try to be something it’s not. The neighborhood gets busy during market hours, especially Thursday evenings when it seems like half of Hurghada shows up to shop, but that energy is part of the charm. You’re a ten-minute walk from decent restaurants that locals recommend, not just the places with English menus and inflated prices. And if you do want the beach scene, the main hotel strip is easily reachable by taxi without breaking the bank.

This place works best for travelers who want to experience Hurghada beyond the resort scene – maybe you’re here for diving and don’t want to pay resort prices, or you’re passing through and need something real and comfortable without the tourist markup. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge, because you’re basically staying in someone’s well-maintained apartment in a genuine Egyptian neighborhood. Which, honestly, might be exactly what you’re looking for.

  If you want tot feel real Hurghada and You don't have 5* hotel expectations, it's a very good, clean apartament, in a safe area. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and a small terrace with city view. Good wi-fi, good price and a nice owner, always finding solutions to our needs.

  Das Appartment ist sehr gross und bietet viel Platz. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, Supermarkt Metro, deutsche Bäckerei, Barbershop, Obst-/Gemüsehändler, Restaurants und Cafés in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Trotz Nähe zur Sheraton Road sehr ruhig. Ausstattung wie beschrieben, der Eigentümer ist hilfsbereit, die Kommunikation über WhatsApp funktionierte klaglos. Ich war 14 Tage im Appartement und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Einfach empfehlenswert!

  Очень радушный хозяйн квартиры. Встретил у парадной, помог донести сумки до квартиры. Нам задержали рейс на сутки и он не выгнал нас, несмотря на то,что уже другая ночь была забронирована другими людьми, он решил проблему так, что все остались довольны: и мы, и другие люди. Огромное спасибо. Это человек с большим сердцем.
