You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Stella Chalet A-20-A-0? It’s actually part of the bigger Stella di Mare complex in Makadi Bay, but it feels way more intimate than I expected. I mean, when you first pull up – and yeah, parking is pretty straightforward, no hunting around like some places – you’re not immediately hit with that overwhelming resort vibe. It’s more like stumbling onto someone’s well-kept secret along this stretch of the Red Sea coast.

The apartment itself sits in what locals call the quieter section of Makadi Bay, about twenty minutes south of Hurghada proper. Honestly, this worked in my favor because you get that authentic Egyptian coastal feel without the constant buzz of tour buses. The 7.8 rating makes total sense once you settle in – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything actually works. The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue around here), and the kitchen setup is legit useful if you want to grab some fresh fish from the local market in the morning. I actually ended up cooking more than I planned because the evening breeze through the windows made it feel less like a chore and more like… well, like being at home somewhere beautiful.

What really sold me on this place was the access to Stella di Mare’s beach and spa facilities – sort of the best of both worlds situation. You get your own space to decompress, but when you want that resort experience, it’s right there. The beach section they use is this gorgeous stretch where the reef comes pretty close to shore, perfect for snorkeling without needing a boat trip. Fair warning though – if you’re here during European holiday season (July-August), it definitely picks up, but shoulder seasons? Pure gold. The spa isn’t revolutionary or anything, but after a day of diving or exploring the desert areas around Hurghada, those massage tables hit different. The staff genuinely seems to know the area well too – they pointed me toward this little Bedouin spot inland that I never would’ve found otherwise. Look, it’s a solid 3-star that punches above its weight because of location and that laid-back Makadi Bay atmosphere. If you’re the type who wants to experience Egypt’s coast without feeling like you’re trapped in a resort bubble, this apartment setup is pretty much perfect.

  I liked the location of the property, the chalet was very good and well equipment with everything you need the hotel facilities pools and the beach ,

  I called Victor upon arrival (Egyptian number, also has Whatsapp). He is the host's representative and met me at the hotel (I booked my own taxi, but Victor can meet you at the airport with his car if needed). He provided a key and explain everything. The host is in touch by booking messaging or WhatsApp as well.
  
  What could be improved: Victor asked for an additional 30 EUR deposit in cash for water and electricity. Later, the host confirmed only 3 EUR per night. So I asked Victor to return the remaining money and he did it on the day of check-out.
