First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Apartment Stella Chalet A-20-A-0, I’ll be honest — the name threw me off a bit. It’s actually part of the larger Hotel Stella di Mare Beach Resort & SPA complex in Makadi Bay, and you know what? That turned out to be a pretty sweet deal. You get all the independence of having your own space while still being able to tap into the resort’s facilities when you want them.

Location & Setting

Makadi Bay is one of those spots along the Red Sea coast that feels more laid-back than Hurghada proper — less crowded, more focused on actually enjoying the beach. The apartment sits right within this resort complex, which means you’re literally steps from some seriously gorgeous coastline. I mean, recent guests rated the location a 9.5 out of 10, and after spending time there, I get it. The bay has this protected feel to it, so the water stays pretty calm most days.

The Space

What I really appreciated about this setup was having my own room that didn’t feel like a typical hotel box. The apartment-style layout gives you space to spread out — there’s a proper kitchen area where you can actually prepare meals if you want to skip the restaurant scene for a night. The furnishings are comfortable without being fancy, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your time on the beach or exploring the Red Sea, that’s exactly what you need.

Practical Perks

Here’s something that made my stay way easier — free private parking right on-site. If you’re planning to rent a car and explore the coast (which I’d totally recommend), you don’t have to worry about finding a spot or paying extra fees. Plus, being part of the resort complex means you can wander over to the spa facilities when you need to recover from all that snorkeling and sun exposure. The whole setup just works really well for couples — there’s something about having your own space but still being able to enjoy resort amenities that creates this perfect balance.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is that sweet spot it hits between independence and convenience. You’re not stuck with hotel meal times or feeling like you’re living in someone else’s space, but you’re also not completely on your own in an unfamiliar area. The Makadi Bay location means you get that authentic Red Sea experience without the chaos of the main tourist strips. Couples especially seem to love this setup — and I can see why. There’s something romantic about having your own little retreat while still being close enough to everything that matters.

  I liked the location of the property, the chalet was very good and well equipment with everything you need the hotel facilities pools and the beach ,

  I called Victor upon arrival (Egyptian number, also has Whatsapp). He is the host's representative and met me at the hotel (I booked my own taxi, but Victor can meet you at the airport with his car if needed). He provided a key and explain everything. The host is in touch by booking messaging or WhatsApp as well.
  
  What could be improved: Victor asked for an additional 30 EUR deposit in cash for water and electricity. Later, the host confirmed only 3 EUR per night. So I asked Victor to return the remaining money and he did it on the day of check-out.
