Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this apartment complex on Sahl Hashish Road – I mean, it’s tucked away in the Palm Beach Piazza development, and from the outside it looks pretty standard for the area. But then you walk through to the back, and there’s this private beach section that just… well, it changes everything. The 9.5 rating suddenly makes perfect sense.

What really got me was how quiet it gets once you’re on their stretch of sand. Sahl Hasheesh can be pretty bustling during peak season (especially around the marina area), but this little pocket feels almost secluded. The apartment itself – B317 if you’re looking for it – has this lived-in comfort that’s way better than sterile hotel rooms. The kitchen actually works (I made coffee every morning), and the balcony overlooks both the complex’s pool area and gives you glimpses of the Red Sea. You know what I loved? Falling asleep to the sound of waves instead of air conditioning units.

The beach access is the real deal here. It’s not just “near the beach” – you literally walk out the back of the complex and you’re on sand. The water’s that incredible turquoise you see in photos, and the coral’s close enough for decent snorkeling right off the shore. I spent most afternoons just floating around out there. The only downside – and this is pretty minor – is that the beach furniture could use some updating. A few of the loungers are getting wobbly, but honestly, I was in the water most of the time anyway.

Getting around from here is actually pretty straightforward. You’re about a 10-minute walk to the main Sahl Hasheesh promenade where all the restaurants are, and there’s a decent little market just down the road if you need basics. The complex has parking (free, which is nice), and if you’re planning to explore Hurghada proper, it’s maybe 20 minutes by car. The management was surprisingly responsive too – had a small issue with hot water on day two, and they sorted it out within hours.

Look, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or turndown service. But for what it is – a comfortable apartment with genuine beach access – it overdelivers. The whole setup just works, especially if you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re living somewhere rather than just visiting. I kept extending my stay because leaving that morning beach routine felt impossible.
