Honestly, when I first pulled up to the Azzurra apartment on Sahl Hashish Road, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the area’s been developing so fast that you never know if you’re getting a hidden gem or something that looks better in photos. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into this quieter stretch of Sahl Hasheesh where you’re not dealing with the chaos of central Hurghada, but you’re still close enough that a quick taxi ride gets you wherever you need to go.

The two-bedroom setup is what really makes this work, especially if you’re traveling with family or friends who actually want some space from each other (you know what I mean). The living area opens up nicely and there’s this little balcony where I’d sit with my morning coffee – nothing fancy, but you can catch glimpses of the Red Sea if you crane your neck just right. What I loved is that it feels like an actual apartment where people live, not some sterile hotel room. The kitchen’s small but functional, which is clutch when you want to grab groceries from the Carrefour down the road instead of eating out every single meal. I mean, Egyptian food is incredible, but sometimes you just want to make a simple breakfast without negotiating with room service.

The whole Sahl Hasheesh area has this interesting vibe – it’s sort of caught between being a locals’ neighborhood and a tourist zone, so you get these pockets of authenticity mixed with resort-style amenities. From the Azzurra, you can walk to some decent restaurants that aren’t completely tourist-priced, and there’s actually a small market nearby where vendors remember your face after a few days. The beach access isn’t right at your doorstep, but honestly, the public beaches here are way less crowded than the ones closer to the main hotel strip. Parking was never an issue, which – if you’ve spent time in Egyptian coastal towns – is kind of a miracle. The check-in was surprisingly smooth too, though I’d recommend having the property manager’s WhatsApp number handy just in case.

Look, this isn’t going to blow your mind with luxury touches or Instagram-worthy interiors, but that’s sort of the point. It’s comfortable, well-located, and priced like a 3-star should be while delivering an experience that feels more personal than most chain hotels. The AC works (crucial in Hurghada summers), the Wi-Fi is decent enough for staying connected, and you’re not paying resort prices for everything. If you’re the type who wants to experience a place rather than just stay in a tourist bubble, the Azzurra gives you that flexibility. Plus, being on the outskirts of the main action means you actually sleep at night instead of listening to poolside music until 2 AM.

  A Wow apartment with amazing sea views ,
  Very clean and quality furnishings.
  The furniture inside the apartment is brand new 2 big wardrobes , but no hangers for your clothes, a brand new washing machine but no clothes horse or washing line to hang wet clothes.
  
  What could be improved: The view comes with a price of a hike up 4 flights of stairs
  Then there is the hassle of having to get electricity and WiFi
  What could be the best feature of-the outside balcony has only the cheapest most uncomfortable smallest table and chairs making it impossible for Al fresco dining, such a shame

  The place was amazing 👏, clean, and the view was fabulous. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. One thing that stood out the most is the large terrace with the sea view and lovelly breeze.
  Cafe la Rocca was very nice, good food and lovely staff.
  
  What could be improved: Just one minor detail that it was on the 3rd floor and no elevator, not convenient for people who do not prefer stairs. But other than that, it was just perfect 👌.

  Thanks for this amazing apartment. Well equipped and very clean. In reality your apartment is even more beautiful than on the pictures. I LOVED the sunrise today in the morning! 🌅 🤩
  The room was really spacious and I loved the balcony and the views it was beautiful.
  The resort has great amenities we spent quite a bit of time playing padel which was right next to the apartment. The beach was really lovely and the water was soo clean.
  Really recommend this apartment if you are going to Dahl hasheesh. Azzura was a great resort!

  We had an amazing time . The apartment was spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished, with stunning views of the Red Sea from the balcony. The location is peaceful yet close to everything, with easy access to the beach and pool. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
