I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Bahga Palace” on the map, I was expecting something way more intimidating than what I found. This place is actually tucked away on Madares street, literally next door to the German Embassy (you can’t miss those official-looking gates), and it feels more like stumbling into someone’s really well-maintained family compound than checking into a typical hotel. The residential apartment setup means you get actual space to breathe – I mean, we’re talking proper kitchenettes, separate bedrooms, the works. You know what struck me first? How quiet it was, even though you’re right in the thick of Hurghada’s diplomatic district.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living somewhere rather than just passing through. Madares street has this interesting mix of local life and expat energy – probably because of all the embassy folks around – so you’ll find decent coffee shops and little restaurants that actually cater to people who live here, not just tourists grabbing a quick bite. The staff clearly knows this isn’t your typical rush-in-rush-out hotel situation, so check-in feels more like getting keys to your temporary home. I noticed they’re genuinely helpful with the practical stuff too, like explaining how the kitchen appliances work (the stovetop is a bit finicky, fair warning) and where to grab groceries nearby. The 8.1 rating makes sense when you realize this place delivers on the things that matter for longer stays – reliable wifi, decent water pressure, and rooms that don’t feel cramped after day three.

What really sold me, though, was how the whole setup just works for different kinds of travelers. Families get the space they need without paying resort prices, business travelers have quiet spots for calls (those embassy connections mean the neighborhood stays pretty professional), and honestly, even couples looking for something more intimate than a massive resort find this hits the sweet spot. The four-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be flashy, but everything functions well and the attention to detail shows. Sure, you’re not getting a pool with a swim-up bar or nightly entertainment, but you are getting that rare thing in Hurghada: a place that feels genuine rather than designed by committee. The building itself has this solid, lived-in quality that I actually prefer to the shiny new places that look great in photos but feel sterile in person. If you’re the type who values substance over Instagram moments, this place gets it right.

  When I arrived I felt a little lost but I soon learned beaches and shops and ATMs were just a short walk away.
  
  What could be improved: I initially book a balcony. Unfortunately the room did nott have a balcony where I could sit and drink tea in the after noon, so I paid approximately 1000 pund extra. The more expensive room was really great with a large balcony. So I recommend to pay a little extra.

  I enjoyed my stay here. The apartment was spacious, clean, quiet and inexpensive. Hossam was kind and very helpful. The communication was great as he always replied quickly to my messages. I gladly recommend this place to other guests.

  Bahga Palace 1 is in a very central location near the Seagull Resort. Really nicely presented holiday apartments. Could do with a few more things like saucepans n other cooking equipment, but was clean n comfortable. On the higher floors some people may struggle with the volume of the muezzin esp at 4.30am (I personally loved it) but if u ask at reception they will be happy to try n move u to a quieter location.   What could be improved: TV had a free view type set up but there were no English speaking channels, except 2 that had films, with Arabic subtitles, but then I don't go on holiday to just watch TV.. laundry facilities would be nice too. Could've done with a few more kitchen utensils n cooking equipment.

  What could be improved: When i asked him if i could check-out the 6 p.m., He said to me yes,it wouldnt be a problem. But while i was checking out, he said to me that their late check-out price was 150 egp. He should said at first to me , it was not fair.

  The room was large and had a full size fridge. This is not a hotel, it's an apartment so you do not get towels or toiletries.
  
  What could be improved: Communication needs to be better. I arrived early and as it's an apartment, there is no reception. Tried to call the number provided several times with no answer. Only got an answer once check in time arrived.

  Personal was very friendly and they manage everything we need through our vacation. Apartment was really nice, big space and also had good vibe … I’m 100% sure we will be there soon again 💪🏽
