You know what caught me off guard about BeachView Turtles? For a 3-star place, it honestly punches way above its weight class. I mean, when you’re driving down Ras Gharib Road and you see those fancy palace walls nearby – yeah, that’s actually Prince Alwaleed’s place right there – you almost expect everything in the area to be either super expensive or trying too hard. But this little gem sort of sits there quietly doing its own thing.

The location is actually pretty clever when you think about it. You’re in Al Ahyaa, which most tourists skip right over on their way to the main Hurghada strip, but honestly? That’s exactly why it works. The beach here doesn’t get the crowds you’ll find at the big resorts, and you can actually hear the waves instead of pool parties and jet skis all day long. I loved walking out in the morning – there’s this soft sand that’s not too hot yet, and you’ll spot the occasional turtle tracks if you’re lucky (hence the name, obviously). The hotel staff will tell you the best times to look for them, usually early morning or just before sunset.

What really impressed me was how the place feels lived-in rather than sterile. The lobby has this comfortable, slightly worn-in vibe – not shabby, just… real, you know? Check-in was surprisingly smooth, and the guy at the front desk actually knew the area well enough to give me proper directions to the good shawarma place down the road (trust me, skip the hotel restaurant for lunch and walk ten minutes toward the main road). The rooms are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but the AC works great and the beds are actually comfortable. I mean, the bathroom could use some updating, but everything works and there’s decent water pressure, which is honestly all I really care about after a day in the sun.

The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time anyway. It’s got this relaxed family vibe during the day, and the poolside service is pretty attentive without being pushy. Evenings get quieter – perfect if you want to read or just decompress. Parking’s easy too, which sounds boring but you’ll appreciate it when you’re dealing with a rental car and trying to figure out Egyptian traffic patterns.

Here’s the thing that sealed it for me though – the staff genuinely seemed to care about whether you were having a good time. Not in that scripted hospitality way, but like they actually wanted to help. When I mentioned I was interested in diving, they connected me with a local operator they personally recommended rather than just pushing their own overpriced excursions. That kind of honesty goes a long way.

Look, BeachView Turtles isn’t going to wow you with marble lobbies or infinity pools. But if you want a solid, comfortable base for exploring Hurghada without the tourist circus atmosphere – and you don’t mind being a bit off the beaten path – it’s honestly a great choice. That 8.8 rating makes total sense once you spend a few days there.

  lovely clean comfortable apartment. Amazing view from balcony. the hoist let me check in early. will be booking again. will definitely recommend this place

  Lovely little apartment with everything you need. The complex has a private beach and two swimming pools for us. You do have to pay a cash deposit but we had no issues getting it back at the end of our stay.

  The customer service was excellent, very great and welcoming staffs especially Mrs ENGY. Great and fast response, a very nice location, quiet and the sea view was amazing. I and my family loved every minute we spent and hopefully we will visit again very soon.

  The place is very quiet .with private beach
  The bed is confortable .the management team is very helpful and decent .
  In few months 1 pool is supposed to be heated so it will be much better. And even all the unit will be renovated as it has been explained to me ..

  For deposit i understand that guests might damage things in the studio..but i believe 50usd or equivalent is enough as deposit.even better if the amount is hold by bank not given as cash .but anyway team was very nice with me regarding this as i told them i don t carry enough dollars

  The Staff are very helpful and hospitable . Bishoy, khaled at the pool bar and Engy are all great. The studio was very clean and all facilities available. The beach was great too. Everything was great.
  
  What could be improved: Many restaurants like mcdonald’s or pizza hut are out of delivery range. They need a bigger onsite restaurant ( which I heard is under construction). Otherwise everything else is great. Really good value for money.

  this accommodation is it very nice and clean inside. and the beach is it ok
  
  What could be improved: in the advertisement they ask for 16 US Dollars but in the end they charge me 53.40 dollars.
  
  in the accommodation they told me that this issue should be solve with booking.com
  
  but after call the booking.com they told me that the accommodation charged extra fee for tax, service and cleaning.
  
  do not make any sense, I left the flat clean as I found it I do not used any kind of services and in the advertisement said that tax was already included, so I do not understand why they charged me 3 times the value of the advertisement.
  
  this is it a very frustrating situation, the administration of the resort cheating on us charging and hiding services form the advertisement that I do not used.

  The compound has its own 🏖️ and small cafe with very good food and coffee and local beer
