Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Bed Breakfast The 95m penthouse Boutiqu spa resort,” I thought someone had a field day with the hotel listing. But you know what? This quirky little spot in Hurghada actually surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible.
The place sits in the Al Ismaileya area, which honestly isn’t the flashiest part of Hurghada, but that’s sort of the point. You’re away from the tourist madness of the main strip, yet you can still catch a taxi to the Red Sea beaches in about ten minutes when the traffic cooperates (which, let’s be real, is hit or miss depending on the time of day). The “penthouse” part isn’t just marketing fluff either – there’s actually this rooftop terrace situation that gives you decent views over the city, especially at sunset when the call to prayer echoes across the neighborhood and everything gets this golden, dusty glow.
What really got me was how the staff treated the place like it was their own home. The breakfast spread changes based on what’s fresh at the local market – I had some of the best ful medames I’ve tasted outside of Cairo, and the coffee was proper Egyptian style, thick and sweet. The spa facilities are modest but clean, with this tiny hammam that actually works up a good steam. It’s not going to compete with the Red Sea resort giants, but for a 3-star place, they’re really trying. The rooms have this eclectic mix of furniture that shouldn’t work together but somehow does – think traditional Egyptian textiles mixed with modern fixtures, and yes, some of the bathrooms do have those rainfall showerheads that actually have decent pressure. I stayed during shoulder season in March, and the whole place felt relaxed and unhurried. The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings with local families out for walks, and there’s this little ahwa (coffee shop) two blocks down where you can smoke shisha and watch Egyptian soap operas with the locals if you’re into that sort of cultural immersion. Parking was never an issue, which is saying something for Hurghada. One minor thing – the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some rooms, so if you’re planning to work remotely, maybe mention that when you book and ask for a room closer to the router. But honestly, being slightly disconnected wasn’t the worst thing when I could hear the Red Sea breeze through the windows and smell jasmine from someone’s garden nearby. This isn’t a place you’d book if you want to stay poolside with a cocktail all day, but if you actually want to experience a slice of Egyptian hospitality without the tourist markup, it’s a solid choice.
