You know what struck me first about Benashti Hurghada apartment 407? It’s actually positioned perfectly on the Cornish Road – and I mean perfectly. You’re literally steps from the Red Sea, but tucked back just enough in the Arabia Area that you don’t get the constant hustle of tourists dragging their suitcases at all hours. The building itself has this sort of understated elegance that feels more like a boutique residence than your typical Hurghada hotel setup.

The apartment (because that’s really what this is, despite the hotel classification) has this lived-in quality that I honestly loved. The balcony overlooks the corniche, and if you time it right – early morning with your coffee or that golden hour before sunset – you get this incredible view of the Red Sea without the crowds blocking your sightline. The furnishings are actually thoughtful, not just thrown together like so many places along this strip. I mean, there’s proper storage space, a kitchen that you’d actually want to use, and the air conditioning works properly – which, let’s be real, is half the battle in Hurghada’s heat.

What really sets this place apart is the location knowledge you get from staying here. The host clearly knows the area inside and out, and you’re genuinely walking distance from the better local spots that most tourists miss entirely. There’s this little seafood place about three blocks inland that locals frequent – you’d never find it from the main hotel strip, but it’s an easy stroll from here. The beach access is straightforward too, none of that “you need to walk through three hotels and pay a fee” nonsense you get with some accommodations. Parking was surprisingly easy when we had a rental car, which is honestly rare along the Cornish Road. The building’s entrance is well-lit and secure, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy presentations about timeshares or pushy excursion sales. The wifi actually works consistently (I know, revolutionary concept), and the water pressure is solid. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, but it’s comfortable in that genuine way where you can actually relax instead of constantly working around awkward layouts or broken fixtures. If you want to experience Hurghada like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through, this is your spot.
