Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Blue Whale? It’s actually right where you want to be in Hurghada without feeling like you’re trapped in some tourist bubble. I mean, you’re literally steps from the beach – and I’m talking about the good stretch of sand, not the rocky bits you sometimes get stuck with further north. The apartments themselves are pretty solid for a 3-star place, honestly better than some 4-star spots I’ve stayed at along the Red Sea coast.

The thing about Blue Whale is that it gets the balance right between being in the city centre action and having that beachfront vibe. You can walk to the marina and all those waterfront restaurants in maybe ten minutes, but when you’re on your balcony (and definitely try to get one facing the water), it feels properly relaxed. The locals who run the little shops nearby are genuinely friendly too – not just the tourist-friendly act you get in some places. There’s this small café about two blocks inland where they do amazing ful medames for breakfast, way better than the hotel buffet, though the hotel coffee is actually decent which surprised me.

What really won me over was how the staff just… knew stuff. Like when I asked about diving spots, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a brochure – he told me which boats to avoid and when the visibility is best at Giftun Island. The apartments are clean and well-maintained (the AC works properly, thank god), and while the decor isn’t going to win any design awards, everything you need is there. The kitchen setup is actually useful if you want to grab some fresh fish from the market and cook it yourself. Honestly, for the price point and that 8.8 rating, I get why people keep coming back here. It’s not trying to be something it’s not – just a solid, comfortable base where you can actually experience Hurghada instead of being stuck in some isolated resort compound.

  I had an excellent stay at this apartment! It was clean and well-maintained, with everything in perfect order. The space was not only tidy but also comfortable, meeting all of my needs. It felt like a home away from home, and I couldn't have asked for better. Highly recommended!

  – The see view is amazing. You have panorama see view from every room in the apartment.
  – The apartment was very clean and well prepared for the stay.
  
  What could be improved: No beach access. However, the apartment is just next to a public beach(family beach 2), you have to pay for the tickets which is not expensive at all(only 20 EGP per person) but the problem is that the beach is rocky and not for swimming.

  The apartment is a great size and the location is perfect as a base to explore the area – there in a good beach just in front. The beds are ok and the view of the sunset a big plus!

  Geräumige Wohnung mit einem schönen Balkon, aus dem man das Meer sehen kann.
  Pünktliche Übergabe der Schlüssel zu einem Wunschtermin. Das einzige was Wichtig für die älteren Paare ist – die Lage der Wohnung ist an der Hauptstraße, die Tag und Nacht enormen Verkehr hat. Der Lärm von den Autos hat uns etwas gestört.
