You know what caught me off guard about this place? It’s actually got character – and I mean that in the best way possible. The Boho-Chic Studio sits right in the G-Cribs development, which honestly sounds way more intimidating than it is. It’s basically El Gouna’s answer to affordable cool, perched along that main stretch of El Gouna 1 Road where you can still hear the gentle hum of the resort town without being right in the thick of tourist central.

The pool view they mention isn’t just marketing speak – I spent way too many mornings with my coffee watching people do their early laps while the sun was still manageable. The studio itself feels like someone actually lives there, you know? Not that sterile hotel vibe where everything’s beige and forgettable. There are these little bohemian touches everywhere – woven wall hangings, plants that look like they’re actually thriving, furniture that doesn’t match perfectly but somehow works together. The kitchenette is small but functional (I made decent scrambled eggs, which is saying something), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that actually has good water pressure. The AC works well too, which trust me, you’ll appreciate when El Gouna’s heat kicks in around midday.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – the G-Cribs area doesn’t have that party hostel energy, so you can actually sleep. During the day though, you’re close enough to walk to the marina area if you want some action, or grab a taxi to downtown El Gouna for maybe 20 Egyptian pounds. The whole setup feels like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some corporate hotel, which explains that 8.8 rating honestly. It’s not luxury by any stretch – the furniture’s a bit worn in places and the Wi-Fi can be spotty – but it’s got soul. Plus, for a 3-star place, the value is pretty solid, especially considering you’re getting that pool access and you’re still technically in El Gouna proper. If you’re the type who needs room service and concierge help, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere genuine to crash while you explore the Red Sea coast, it actually delivers.

  What could be improved: I am really frustrated as I did not recieve the QR code from the owner and I tried to reach him more that 10 times with no reply. I stayed 2 hours at the gate trying to recieve the QR code from him. However, the appartment is perfect, so tidy and fully equipped, but G cribs location is too far and not easy to reach.
