You know what struck me first about Calimera Blend Paradise? It’s actually tucked away far enough from Hurghada’s chaos that you can’t hear the traffic from the main tourist strip, but close enough that you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere. The drive out to Sahl Hashesh takes about 20 minutes from the airport – honestly longer than I expected, but the road’s decent and you’ll start seeing these glimpses of turquoise water that make you forget about the time. When you pull up, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about the layout here. The entrance doesn’t feel like you’re walking into a shopping mall lobby, which… well, if you’ve been to some of the newer resorts around Hurghada, you’ll know what I mean.

The thing about this place is it gets the balance right between having enough going on and not feeling like a cruise ship on land. I mean, it’s definitely a big resort – you’re looking at multiple pools, restaurants, the usual entertainment setup – but the way it’s spread out along the coastline means you can actually find quiet corners when you need them. The beach situation here is pretty solid too. The Red Sea at this stretch is what you came to Egypt for – that crazy clear water where you can see your feet even when you’re chest-deep, and the reef’s close enough for decent snorkeling right off the shore. I’d say bring your own gear though, because rental stuff is always hit or miss. The hotel’s got these wooden walkways that take you out over the shallow bits, which is actually nice because you’re not stumbling over rocks trying to get in and out of the water.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to know their stuff without being overly pushy about it. Check-in was smooth – they had my room ready even though I showed up around noon, and the guy at the front desk gave me actual useful tips about when the beach gets crowded (around 10 AM, if you’re wondering) and which restaurant to hit first. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a proper 5-star setup, but here’s something specific – the balcony doors actually seal properly, so you’re not dealing with sand blowing in every time the wind picks up. Small thing, but you notice it after a few days. The air conditioning works without sounding like a helicopter, and there’s enough outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works and it feels clean and comfortable. For what you’re paying and where you are, that 8.3 rating makes sense – it delivers on what it promises without any major surprises, good or bad.

  The staff were all of them awesome and really helpful. My flight back home was cancelled, and i had to go back to the hotel after checking out. They allowed me to enter my room again and helped me to find another flight. They allowed me also exceptionally to have an early check-in and late check out. Thank you so much again.
  
  The food is great. The aqua park was also very good.
  
  What could be improved: I think the animation team and the activities could be improved. Maybe because i visited the hotel in January the outdoor activities were limited.

  The complex is quite big, events and activities every day/evening, wide and clean beach. Room was clean, all amenities provided. Many choices of food. Thanks to Mister Abdallah from reception who helped us check in earlier and also the manager who got us a great room. Many thanks also to Quality Manager Iuliana who was very kind and came to check on us, getting feedback about the hotel and things that need to be improved.
  
  What could be improved: Quality of coffee is too low for a 5star hotel, including the alcoholic drinks.

  The room was clean and spacious with private balcony. The room had absolutely everything you need. By the way, photos are completely true.
  A big advantage was that towels for the pool or sea can be obtained directly on site. Moreover, the hotel area is also magnificent and picturesque. The food is varied and delicious, I liked everything I tried.
  Additionally, I want to note the professional staff, with whom we have no problems in understanding, so I am happy about it.
  The beach was well-maintained, with ample sunbeds available, and the flags were changed promptly during the sea state change.
  
  What could be improved: Improving the quality of WiFi routers may be worth it, even if it doesn't affect my vacation quality.

  decent buffet (no pork obviously and very limited beef options, but the rest is great), unlimited bottled water and very good coffee in the lobby bar, comfortable lounge chairs by the pool and at the beach, beach shuttle is great for people with reduced mobility. Massage in the spa was absolutely amazing
  
  What could be improved: spotty wifi, dirty floors in the rooms, water pressure in the shower non-existent, housekeeping leaving two towels in a triple room and bringing the third one 1.5 hours after I asked for it.

  I really enjoyed my stay in Calimera for several reasons: 1. Excellent people working there! Special thanks to animation team, restaurants and bars team, reception and customer service. Special gratitude to Mr Sulaiman, restaurant manager, who was incredible and always paid attention to hundreds of guests and their needs all the time! I went to the club with animation team and it was absolutely fantastic experience! I had few days of distance work from hotel and once had a problem with my computer and received very big support from local IT expert. 2. Placement of the hotel is super nice with direct access to a lovely beach. The beach is big, equipped with sunbeds, toilets and a bar. In terms of the placement, its not in the city, but easy to get from the airport by Uber – close and very affordable. 3. Territory of the hotel is very big, green and well maintained, there are several pools, including one big heated pool 4. I really enjoyed food, huge variety every day, always fish, chicken, meat, vegetables, snacks, etc… there are many guests, but there are always places to sit and regular food replacement. What I noticed that food was not very salty and spicy. Probably its a reason why some people complained about taste in reviews. But I found it beneficial, as everyone can adjust according to personal taste. 5. Guests are from everywhere, but all nice and friendly. It was lovely to see children from different countries playing together!
  
  What could be improved: There is nothing really bad, but I would suggest to management to review room's cleaning and, probably, replace room towels, as they look a bit grey. So 9, not 10. Another minor thing for future guests, I worked from hotel few days and wifi was not very stable. However, comparing to other places in Egypt, it was much better!
