Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name “Chic 3BR Ground Free Beach & Pool access at Mangroovy,” I thought someone had just thrown a bunch of keywords together. But after spending time at this place in El Gouna, I get it. The name might be a mouthful, but it actually tells you everything you need to know about what you’re getting into here.

The thing about El Gouna is that it’s not your typical Egyptian resort town – it’s this planned community that feels almost surreal with its lagoons and bridges, sort of like someone dropped a piece of Venice into the Red Sea coast. And Mangroovy sits right in the thick of it, which means you’re walking distance from everything that matters without being stuck in the middle of tourist chaos. The ground-floor setup is actually brilliant because you can literally walk out your door and be at the pool in like thirty seconds, no elevator waits or trudging up stairs with beach gear. You know what I mean – when you’re dealing with wet swimsuits and sandy kids, every step counts.

The three-bedroom layout works really well for families or groups who want their own space but don’t want to blow their budget on separate hotel rooms. I mean, the kitchen isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the local market and make breakfast instead of paying resort prices every morning. The beach access is the real winner here though – you’re not fighting for a spot on some crowded strip, and the water is that ridiculous turquoise color that makes every photo look like you cranked up the saturation. The snorkeling right off the beach is honestly better than some of the boat trips I’ve taken in other parts of the Red Sea.

What really sold me on this place was how quiet it gets in the evenings. El Gouna can get pretty lively, especially around Marina area, but Mangroovy feels more residential – you get the lagoon views and that gentle lapping water sound instead of constant music and chatter. Parking was never an issue (which, trust me, is not always a given in Egyptian resort towns), and the whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. The only thing I’d warn you about is that if you’re coming during European holiday season, especially around Christmas or Easter, book way ahead because places like this fill up fast with families from Germany and Italy who’ve figured out this sweet spot between luxury and value. It’s one of those places where you end up staying longer than planned because everything just… works.

  Definitely, El Gouna is the place for vacations in Egypt and Chic 3BR Ground Free Beach & Pool is probably the best place to stay. The host is very welcoming and has provided us with the clear instructions regarding check-in and various services around. The apartment has easy access to the pool, the Red Sea beach and beach bars, also Marina and Downtown are within reach (5-10 min drive) in Tuk-Tuk for only 1 USD (fixed price for any destination in ElGouna). We have enjoyed the proximity of Padel and Tennis courts and high-end restaurants.
