You know what caught me off guard about Comfort Marine? The name totally undersells it. I mean, when I first saw it tucked into Hurghada’s new marina area, I was expecting some basic waterfront crash pad – but honestly, this place punches way above its three-star rating. That 9.2 score makes perfect sense once you actually stay there.

The location is actually pretty clever if you know Hurghada at all. Most tourists get stuck in the main hotel strip where everything’s overpriced and touristy, but the new marina development is where locals are starting to hang out more. You’re literally a two-minute walk from some of the better seafood spots that haven’t been completely discovered yet, and the marina itself has this relaxed evening vibe – people fishing off the docks, families strolling around. It’s not Instagram-perfect polished, but that’s kind of the point. The hotel sits right in the mix without feeling like it’s trying too hard to be fancy.

What really works here is how they’ve nailed the fundamentals without getting caught up in unnecessary stuff. The rooms are clean and comfortable (actually comfortable, not hotel-brochure comfortable), and you can hear the water lapping against the marina at night, which is surprisingly soothing. The staff genuinely seems to care – I had this whole conversation with the front desk guy about the best local diving spots, and he wasn’t just rattling off the usual tourist recommendations. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or pushy upselling attempts. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow still is in a lot of Egyptian hotels.

I’ll be real though – if you’re looking for a massive pool complex or nightly entertainment, this isn’t your spot. It’s more for people who want a solid base to explore from without paying resort prices. The breakfast is decent (nothing fancy, but fresh bread and good coffee), and there’s usually parking available right outside, which is huge if you’re planning to rent a car and explore beyond Hurghada proper. The whole marina area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, so you’re not dealing with late-night noise from bars or street traffic.

What strikes me most is how the place feels genuine – like it’s actually part of the neighborhood rather than some isolated tourist bubble. You’ll see Egyptian families at the marina restaurants, fishing boats coming and going in the morning, local kids playing around the waterfront. It gives you a much better sense of what Hurghada is like when it’s not performing for visitors. For the price point and that location right on the water, Comfort Marine is honestly one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your travel planning skills.

  Khaled was so nice and waited for us at the airport (which caused misunderstanding with my previously booked transport to the appartment). He shared his contacts with me before the trip, so he was all the time available. Discreet, polite and very friendly – he let us enjoy. Appartment has a great terrace overlooking at the promenade, harbor and sea – it faces east so the sunrise is magnificent. Appartment is probably on the best spot in whole Marina – just over the Greek restaurant (among the others) – forget about cooking in the appartment 🙂
  Airconditioning was functional and effective, bathroom facilities are decent and well maintained.

  I spent the first night in Comfort studio, a small comfortable apartment with amazing views over the Marina. Khaled, then made Comfort 5 available for the next nights, at no extra cost! This two bed, spacious apartment, overlooking the Marina, proved perfect for the rest of my stay, Many thanks to Khaled, top guy, who went out of his way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. A Super Host, if ever there was one!

  It was an unforgettable experience! The apartment itself was stunning, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
  What truly made our stay exceptional was Mr. Khalid. He was incredibly helpful going above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. I even left some personal belongings behind, and he did everything possible to send them back to me in my home country.
