Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Comfort Zone at Turtles Beach Resort on the Ismailia Road, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come from lowered expectations. This little spot actually gets it right in ways that matter.
The location is pretty smart if you know Hurghada at all. You’re not stuck in the crazy tourist chaos of the main hotel strip, but you’re not exactly isolated either. It’s maybe a 15-minute ride to the Marina Boulevard if you want the full Hurghada experience – all those restaurants and shops and the general tourist madness. But honestly, after spending a few days here, I kind of appreciated having a quieter base to come back to. The beach itself is… well, it’s decent. Not the most spectacular stretch of Red Sea coastline I’ve seen, but the water’s clear and you can actually snorkel right off the shore without fighting crowds. I mean, don’t expect pristine coral reefs, but there’s enough marine life to keep you interested for a morning swim.
What really surprised me was how the staff actually seemed to care about making things work. Check-in was smooth – no weird hidden fees or confusing explanations about resort policies. The rooms are clean and functional, though don’t expect Instagram-worthy decor. It’s more like… comfortable basics done well. Air conditioning that actually works (crucial in Hurghada’s heat), decent water pressure, and beds that don’t feel like cardboard. The kind of place where you sleep well and wake up ready to explore rather than complaining about hotel problems. Food-wise, they keep it simple but tasty – lots of Egyptian staples mixed with some international options. I actually enjoyed the local fish dishes more than the attempt at Western food, if I’m being honest. And here’s something you don’t always get at budget places – the pool area is genuinely relaxing. Not huge, but clean and usually not packed with screaming kids (though that might depend on when you visit).
The 8.2 rating makes sense to me because this place delivers exactly what it promises without pretending to be something it’s not. It’s comfortable, the location works, and you’re not constantly dealing with hassles. Is it luxury? No. Will you have stories about amazing amenities? Probably not. But will you have a solid base for exploring Hurghada’s diving spots, desert trips, and markets without breaking the bank? Absolutely. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need – a place that just works so you can focus on why you came to Egypt in the first place.

Location was great by the private beach. Great view from the apartment to the beach. Comfy beds and facilities.
What could be improved: WiFi and cleanlinessKay from United Kingdom – 25 December 2024 (9/10)
Very clean and very comfortable apartment, definitely living up to its name 'Comfort Zone'.
The bedroom had plenty of bedsheets, throws and duvets and there was an additional double bed (and even a baby cot) in a section in the open plan living space if booking for a family (with a baby.)
Lots of towels provided along with iron, ironing board, kitchen utensils, crockery, microwave and a safe for valuables.
You have a decent view of the sea with the sun hitting the balcony after midday, so ideal to sit outside and enjoy lunch.
You can tell that attention is paid to the house-keeping element, as it really was spotless. It's always a relief when you can step into a property and not be put off by stains, dirt, hairs or dust.
The decor is simple and modern.
Bedroom is spacious with double wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Open plan kitchen easy to move around and the living space runs through to the balcony giving a free-flowing feeling.
If there were a number of people sharing, there's enough room to not get in each others way.
What could be improved: The only thing that could be useful is a bedside lamp as the overhead lights are quite bright, which isn't ideal if you want to read in bed for example.Mimi from Egypt – 18 June 2025 (8/10)
Pros:
– Location is good if you have a car, approximately 30 minutes to the down town and grand aquarium and aqua park and 40 min away from the dolphin world.
– The host is so friendly and very helpful.
– The swimming pool is nice and the beach is nice (Stoney beach not sandy).
What could be improved: Cons:
I hope you put some devices to resist the mosquitos.Craig from United Kingdom – 28 February 2025 (8/10)
Good location with beach and bar/cafe. Good sized room and good facilities.
What could be improved: Intended for the owner to make improvements….
Kettle does not switch off automatically.
Large double bed with standard double bed sheets/duvet – they don't fit.
Door is fiddly to unlock/open.
Wifi very poor.Mahmoud from United Arab Emirates – 16 December 2024 (8/10)
price and apartment.
What could be improved: Near the sea.Richard from Egypt – 17 April 2024 (9/10)
Great value. The owner was nice and helpful. The pools are very nice and it is right on a really nice beach on the sea.
What could be improved: Kitchen could use some more supplies but it is adequate. No soap for the kitchen or bathroom sink.Grace from Australia – 12 May 2025 (8/10)
The private beach here is incredible! It offers plenty of shade, sun loungers, great service for food and drinks, and pristine water to splash in. This plus the pools offer a lovely oasis in a quiet pocket of Hurghada, with the opportunity to seek more bars/restaurants/nightlife just a 20-30min taxi drive away. Nardeen is very friendly and responsive.
What could be improved: The cleanliness of the apartment left a bit to be desired and we spent the first night being pestered by mosquitoes before we bought repellent. The entrance sign is somewhat inconspicuous and the drive to the check-in is a bit rough.Pérez from Spain – 7 May 2025 (10/10)
The resort has two Beautiful and comfortable swimming pools and an amazing view of the beach
