The two-bedroom setup is honestly perfect if you’re traveling with friends or family – there’s enough space that you’re not tripping over each other’s stuff, and the kitchen actually has everything you need (I’m talking real plates, not those flimsy resort ones).

El Gouna itself is sort of this planned community thing on the Red Sea coast, which sounds weird but works surprisingly well. The whole place has this Mediterranean vibe mixed with Egyptian charm, and staying at the Cordial puts you right in the middle of it without being stuck in some massive hotel complex. You can walk to those little bridges everyone photographs, and honestly, the lagoons here are something else – way calmer than the open Red Sea if you’re not into fighting waves. The apartment’s location means you’re close enough to the marina area for dinner (try Abu Tig if you haven’t been), but far enough that you’re not dealing with the weekend crowd noise until 2 AM.

What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that travel sites never mention. Parking is actually easy – none of that circling-the-block nonsense you get in Hurghada proper. The Wi-Fi works well enough for video calls back home, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of Egypt. And here’s the thing about that pool access – it’s shared, sure, but it never felt crowded when I was there in shoulder season. The water’s warm year-round anyway, so you’re not fighting for sun loungers like you would at those big Red Sea resorts down the coast. Check-in was smooth too, none of that “come back in three hours” drama. The whole setup just feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, which is exactly what you want when you’re planning to actually relax instead of being “on vacation” every second.
