It’s tucked away on Bowling Street in this surprisingly quiet pocket of Al Kawthar District – honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, but this spot actually gets it right in ways that matter. The building itself is nothing fancy, but there’s something refreshingly honest about it. No marble lobbies trying too hard to impress, just clean lines and that Egyptian hospitality that feels genuine rather than scripted.

The location is actually pretty clever when you think about it. Al Kawthar isn’t where the tour buses dump everyone, so you get this more authentic slice of Hurghada life. I mean, you’re still close enough to hit the Red Sea beaches without the hassle, but you can also wander down to the local cafes where they’re not charging tourist prices for tea. The suites themselves – well, they’re proper suites, not just hotel rooms with a couch shoved in the corner. There’s actual space to spread out, which matters more than you’d think after a day of diving or exploring. The air conditioning works (crucial in Hurghada, trust me), and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it stays at night despite being in the middle of the city.

What really sold me on this place though is the staff’s approach – they seem to actually know the area instead of just rattling off scripted recommendations. When I asked about getting to the marina, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward an expensive taxi; he explained the local transport routes and even mentioned which times to avoid the traffic chaos. That 8.3 rating makes sense when you experience those little touches. The breakfast isn’t going to win awards, but it’s solid Egyptian fare with some international options, and the coffee is surprisingly decent for a mid-range hotel. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Egyptian cities will appreciate. I’d honestly recommend Cordoba Suites to friends who want a reliable base in Hurghada without paying resort prices – it’s got that sweet spot of comfort and authenticity that’s harder to find these days.

  Near the airport, great bed and really soft sheets, hot shower, walking distance tintje ‘village’ with nice bars and stores. The people how work there are so friendly and it is perfect they have a 24 hours front desk for early flights,
