Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this place on El Gouna Club Road – the name “G-Cribs” had me wondering what I’d gotten myself into. But you know what? This little apartment complex actually surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you walk into this two-bedroom setup, there’s this immediate sense of… well, home. Not hotel-fancy home, but the kind of comfortable space where you can actually picture yourself living for a week or two without going stir-crazy.

The terrace is where this place really shines, and I mean that literally – the morning light hits it perfectly with your coffee, and by evening you’re watching the sun paint everything golden while the pool area below starts to come alive. Speaking of the pool, it’s not huge but it’s clean and honestly just the right size where you won’t feel like you’re swimming in a fishbowl with fifty other guests. The whole G-Cribs complex has maybe a dozen units, so there’s this nice community vibe without feeling crowded. I actually ended up chatting with a German couple by the pool who’d been coming back here for three years running – that tells you something right there.

What I really appreciated was how the owners clearly get what travelers actually need. The kitchen’s properly stocked (not just two plates and a broken can opener like some places), there’s solid WiFi throughout, and the AC works without sounding like a jet engine. The bedrooms are a decent size too – I mean, you’re not going to get lost in there, but you can actually open your suitcase without having to move furniture around. Location-wise, you’re about a ten-minute walk from the main El Gouna marina area, which is perfect because you can easily stroll over for dinner but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear the late-night party crowds. There’s a little grocery shop practically next door, and the taxi drivers all know exactly where G-Cribs is, which saves you the whole “no, not that complex, the other one” conversation. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the hot water takes a minute to kick in – not a dealbreaker, just don’t expect an instant steamy shower. But honestly, for a 3-star place with a 9 rating, this apartment delivers exactly what it promises and then some.
