I mean, El Gouna can be hit or miss with accommodations, but this one gets the balance right between comfort and that laid-back Red Sea vibe you’re probably looking for.

The apartment itself is honestly bigger than the photos suggest – I had plenty of room to spread out after those long days exploring Hurghada or lounging by the water. Both bedrooms are properly sized (not those cramped afterthoughts you sometimes get), and the living area has this nice flow where you can actually hang out without bumping into each other. But here’s the thing that really matters – the pool access is legit. It’s not some tiny splash pad; we’re talking about a proper swimming pool that’s usually pretty quiet during the day when most people are off at the beaches or diving sites. Early morning swims became my routine, actually, since the pool area gets this perfect light around 7 AM and you’ve got it mostly to yourself.

The Cyan area itself is one of those parts of El Gouna that feels more residential than touristy – you’ll hear Egyptian families chatting in the courtyards, smell coffee brewing from neighboring apartments, and honestly, it gives you a much better sense of how people actually live here. You’re close enough to walk to the marina area when you want that bustling restaurant scene (maybe 10-15 minutes), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the crowds and noise every single day. I found myself grocery shopping at the local spots nearby and cooking breakfast on the balcony, which sounds simple but ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. The check-in was smooth too – no standing around waiting for keys or dealing with complicated instructions. The host knows the area well and gave me some solid recommendations for places that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. Parking’s not an issue if you rent a car, which I’d recommend since it opens up day trips to places like the desert or some of the quieter beaches north of town. Look, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or daily housekeeping, but everything works properly and it’s genuinely clean and comfortable. For the price point in El Gouna, especially with pool access and this much space, it’s actually pretty solid value.
