Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Cozy, Calm, Studio” in the name, I rolled my eyes a bit. Hotels love throwing around those buzzwords, you know? But this little spot in Veranda Sahl Hasheesh actually lives up to the hype, which honestly surprised me. The studio itself is tucked away in this quieter section of the resort (building 9101B if you’re keeping track), and you can tell they put some thought into the layout. It’s not huge – I mean, it’s a studio – but everything has its place, and the veranda is where you’ll probably end up spending most of your time anyway.

What really got me was how they managed to create this bubble of calm in what’s essentially a resort setting. The soundproofing is actually decent, which matters more than you’d think when you’re in Hurghada during peak season. I stayed there in March, and while the main resort areas were buzzing with families and tour groups, this studio felt like a retreat within a retreat. The morning coffee routine became this whole ritual – sitting out on that veranda, watching the Red Sea change colors as the sun came up. You’re close enough to walk to the main resort amenities (the pool area is maybe a 3-minute stroll), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the splash-and-scream soundtrack all day.

Here’s the thing about Sahl Hasheesh that a lot of people don’t realize – it’s not Hurghada proper. You’re about 20 minutes south of the main tourist chaos, which is either perfect or problematic depending on what you’re after. If you want to hit up the souks or grab dinner at one of those local spots along Sheraton Road, you’ll need to plan for taxi rides. But if you’re more interested in diving, snorkeling, or just decompressing, this location is actually ideal. The house reef here is still pretty decent, and you can walk right into the water without fighting crowds. The studio comes with all the basics you’d expect – decent wifi (worked fine for video calls), a kitchenette that’s more functional than decorative, and air conditioning that actually keeps up with the Egyptian heat. Check-in was smooth, parking isn’t an issue, and the staff seemed to know the property well enough to give useful recommendations rather than just pointing you toward the resort restaurant. That 9.5 rating isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense – it reflects what you actually get, which is a well-maintained space that delivers on its promise of being a calm base for exploring the Red Sea without the resort circus atmosphere.

  The communication with host Karem was very easy and we got all the informations we need from him.
  The facilities are fine, inside a secured resort with huge swimming poles and an Italian restaurant, cafe, bar.
  Unfortunately we stayed only half a day as we have to catch our flight around 02:40, next time hope to stay more.
  
  What could be improved: A development construction works continue nearby and dust covers the terrace or balcony in a short time.

  A beautiful modern apartment in the quiet area near Hurghada. Amazing swimming pools and gym great and well priced restaurant at the resort. Exceptionally clean. Fast WiFi. International satellite TV channels. Short walk or free transport to beautiful beach with amazing coral reef. Owner extremely helpful friendly and immediate response regarding questions. We extended our stay and will return.

  The accommodation was very clean and relaxing, with an idyllic view – perfect for anyone looking to relax. The nearest supermarket is a little further away, but in an emergency there is a club car for running errands to the tourist supermarket. The owner was always available and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay with good service.

  Apartment situated on 1st floor overlooking the gardens and pools below and are a stones throw away from the complexes bar and restaurant.
  If its calm and tranquility you're looking for, Veranda is the place.
  
  Staff here are very pleasant and will go out of the way to help.
