So I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Desert Pearl Apartment,” I was expecting something pretty basic, maybe even a little rough around the edges. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away in the El Kawther area, which honestly is one of those neighborhoods in Hurghada that feels more like where actual people live rather than just tourist central. You’re not going to have hawkers bothering you every five minutes here, and there’s something refreshing about walking to a local coffee shop where the guy behind the counter remembers your order after day two.

The apartment itself – well, it’s definitely got that lived-in feel that some people love and others might find a bit too casual. I mean, it’s a solid 3-star place, so don’t expect marble countertops or anything fancy like that. But the air conditioning works (crucial in Hurghada, trust me), the beds are actually comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab some fresh fish from the local market and cook it yourself. The balcony views aren’t going to make your Instagram explode, but there’s something nice about looking out over regular neighborhood life – kids playing football in the street, the call to prayer echoing off the buildings, that sort of authentic Egyptian experience you don’t get at the big resort chains. Plus, parking is easy here, which anyone who’s driven around Hurghada during high season will appreciate.

What really works about this place is the location – you’re maybe a 10-minute walk to some decent restaurants (there’s this little place that does amazing koshari that I stumbled across), and you can catch a taxi to the marina or the main hotel strip without breaking the bank. The owners are pretty responsive too, which matters when you’re dealing with apartment-style accommodation. I had an issue with the hot water on my second day and they sorted it out within a couple hours. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, and sometimes you can hear the neighbors (the walls aren’t exactly thick), but for the price point and that 7.3 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to experience Hurghada without the resort bubble, and you don’t mind trading a bit of polish for authenticity and value, Desert Pearl actually hits that sweet spot pretty well.

  What could be improved: The condition of the apartment is very low. it is old, dirty, not cleaned properly for years. The bed linen was not fresh. There was a hole burned by a cigarette in it. I couldn’t sleep in the bed even with my clothes on. All the light switches was greasy, not pleasant to touch. Same goes with a sofa, all the appliances.

  What could be improved: Мало дневного света, освещение также довольно тусклое. Кое-что в квартире "уставшее", очень грязный кухонный гарнитур. Сразу после заселения пришлось самим помыть пол и перестирать постельное. Пол был очень грязный, постельное с выраженным запахом табака. На мебельных полках много пыли. Ирина – собственник квартиры – в решении вопросов всегда шла навстречу и старалась помочь. Возможно служба клининга недоработала.
  Если не обращать внимание на некоторые бытовые вопросы, в целом с учётом местоположения квартиры отдых хороший. Эспланада/Мамша рядом. Пляжи, бары и магазины рядом. Отдых оцениваем на 4 из 5

  Отличная квартира в хорошем районе Хургады. Гостеприимнвя и общительная хозяйка. Всё, что необходимо для комфортного проживания в наличии. Рядом хороший пляж Рекомендуем.

  Прекрасная, очень очень тихая квартира. Окна на две стороны и квартира хорошо продувается. Наличие посудомойки вообще покарило😍
  До променада 5 мин, возле входа в дом, есть маленький продуктовый магазин, за углом магазин побольше + фруктовая лавка.
