Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of Red Sea resorts, and Desert Rose Resort honestly surprised me in the best way. You know that stretch of Safaga Road heading south from Hurghada’s main tourist strip? This place sits right there, but it feels worlds away from the chaos of the hotel zone. The first thing that hit me walking into the lobby was how they actually nailed the whole desert-meets-sea vibe without it feeling cheesy – there’s this gorgeous blend of warm stone and cooling blues that just works.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail that you don’t expect. The staff remembers your name after day one (and I mean the housekeeping staff, not just the front desk), the beach chairs are actually comfortable, and – this might sound weird – but the Wi-Fi works everywhere, even by the far pools. I’ve learned not to take that for granted in Egyptian resorts. The food situation is solid too; their Egyptian night at the main restaurant features dishes you won’t find at most tourist places, and the chef clearly knows what he’s doing with the local fish. Actually, if you’re into diving or snorkeling, you’re perfectly positioned here – the house reef is decent for a quick morning dive, and the boat trips to the better sites leave right from their jetty.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t one of those places where you feel trapped on the property. The hotel runs a shuttle to Hurghada’s old town (ask for the evening one, it’s less crowded), and there’s a decent local seafood spot about a ten-minute walk north if you want to escape resort food for a night. The rooms are genuinely spacious, especially the sea-view ones, and they’ve got that perfect AC that doesn’t sound like a jet engine all night. I mean, it’s five-star pricing, so you’d expect quality, but they deliver on it. The pools never felt overcrowded, even during busy season, and the beach service is quick without being pushy. Honestly, if you’re looking for that sweet spot between luxury and authenticity along the Red Sea, this place gets it right. Just book the sea view if you can swing it – watching the sunrise over the water from your balcony is worth the extra cost.

  I recently had the pleasure of staying at Desert Rose resort and I must say it was an astonishing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Samar El Noby, whose hospitality set the tone for our stay.
  
  The resort's facilities and activities were nothing short of amazing, providing a perfect blend of relaxation and enjoyment. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the restaurant's Manager, Mr. Milad, and his incredible team for their attentive service and care in ensuring our accommodations were seamless. A special shout-out to the staff at Fattoch and Del Mar restaurants for their wonderful service and delicious offerings.
  
  Additionally, I want to commend the professional team at Bella Vesta Coffee and Del Mar restaurant for their exceptional work.
  
  Overall, my stay was truly memorable, and I look forward to returning in the future!
  
  What could be improved: I wish there were more activity at the beach and the pools. More music for fun.

  The staff were good and helpfull ,the room was clean , bathrooms were clean.the food and snacks are avialable allover the day .the wifi is covering all the resort
  
  What could be improved: This was my third visit to desert rose and i booked all my visits by booking.com early but i never satisfied about locationes of my room.

  Samar from guest relation and abdel hamid from reception those two members made my stay very comfort Samar took care about all extra required facilities from restaurants reservations trips booking and much more … abdel hamid was very friendly for accommodation stuff during my vacation.   Everything! We checked in last minute after canceling our previous booking at a different hotel that happened to be horrible. We ended up at Desert Rose and it was the best decision. The staff is amazing; sweet, nice and always so polite. We felt welcomed from the beginning until the very end of our stay.
  Our bedroom was beautiful, the food was very good and the resort itself is just magnificent. It’s lush, clean, it smells delicious (cinnamon inside, jasmin outside) and has beautiful pools, gardens, bars..
  We had the best time. Thank you so much for that.

  I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and cheerful, especially Miss Samar El Noby, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
