You know what caught me off guard about Dive Hostel Hurghada Beach? It’s actually on the third floor of this apartment building right on Main Sea Street, and honestly, that turned out to be perfect. I mean, when I first saw the address I was wondering what I’d gotten myself into – apartment numbers 9 and 10 sounded a bit sketchy – but the location is absolutely killer. You’re literally steps from that public family beach, and I could hear the waves from my room at night, which was surprisingly soothing rather than noisy.

The thing about staying right in the Arabia area is you’re in the thick of everything without dealing with the resort bubble nonsense. There’s this constant buzz of local life happening below on the street, and the Beirut Hotel next door actually has a decent little café where I grabbed coffee most mornings. The hostel itself has this laid-back dive vibe (hence the name, I guess) that really works – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything feels clean and well-maintained. The communal areas actually encourage you to hang out and meet people, which doesn’t always happen at hostels. I ended up spending way more time chatting with other travelers than I expected, including this German couple who’d been diving the Red Sea for weeks and knew all the best spots.

What really sold me on this place was how the staff seemed to genuinely know Hurghada inside and out. They pointed me toward this local seafood place about ten minutes walk away that I never would’ve found otherwise – definitely not the touristy stuff you’ll find in guidebooks. The dive shop connections are legit too, if that’s your thing. I’m not even a serious diver, but they hooked me up with a half-day trip that was way better than the overpriced hotel packages I’d been looking at. The whole setup feels like it’s run by people who actually live here and want you to experience the real Hurghada, not just the sanitized resort version. Sure, it’s not luxury – you’re sharing bathrooms and the WiFi can be spotty during peak hours – but there’s something refreshing about a place that delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense.

  All furniture is new, exceptional view directly on the sea, the sunrise and sunset are amazing, in addition to Mr. Mustafa who is very respectful and kind and provides a lot of attention and help!!!

  Phenomenal. Had an apartment overlooking the Red Sea, got picked up every morning to dive on time and brought back. Boat crew was some of the best I’ve had. Incredible people. I would definitely stay and dive with them again. No doubt in my mind.

  This hotel sounds like a dream come true. Imagine waking up to the sea view every morning. The staff being friendly makes all the difference on a trip. Having everything you need already there is super convenient. New furniture is always a plus!
