I mean, yeah, it’s technically a hostel, but when you’re walking down that little stretch of Arabia street – right there in front of the Arabilla hotel, you can’t miss it – the whole setup feels more like a boutique dive lodge than your typical bunk-bed situation.

The location is actually pretty clever if you know Hurghada at all. Most tourists get stuck in the main hotel strips where everything’s overpriced and feels like a theme park, but this spot sits in this sweet middle ground where you’re close enough to the action without being in the thick of all that chaos. The Red Sea is literally right there – I’m talking a two-minute walk where you can hear the waves from your room at night, which is something you don’t get at those massive resort complexes further inland. What really sold me was how the dive operation runs right out of the place. The gear storage smells exactly like you’d expect (that mix of neoprene and salt water), and there’s always wet suits hanging around the entrance, which sounds annoying but actually gives the whole place this authentic, lived-in vibe that’s hard to fake.

The staff here – and I swear this isn’t some paid review nonsense – they actually dive these reefs themselves. So when they’re telling you about current conditions or which sites are worth your time, they’re not reading from some script. They know which boats get crowded, they know when the visibility drops, they know all that practical stuff that makes or breaks a dive trip. The rooms themselves are cleaner than I expected, though the hot water can be a bit temperamental in the mornings – just run it for a minute and you’re fine. Parking’s never been an issue when I’ve stayed, which is honestly a relief because finding a spot near the waterfront in Hurghada can be a nightmare during peak season. The whole place gets this nice cross-breeze in the evenings too, probably because of how it’s positioned relative to the coast, so even when it’s blazing hot during the day, nights are actually comfortable. Look, if you’re coming to Hurghada specifically to dive and you want to stay somewhere that feels connected to that scene rather than some sterile resort bubble, this is your spot. The 9-star rating isn’t inflated tourist nonsense – it’s earned.

  The owner and staff were very friendly and always available to help with any query or issue. The apartment was very spacious and the facilities were good. Location was ok and close to small convenience stores.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was quite dusty when I moved in, but a quick wipe down of the surfaces did the trick. The power went off during the day while I was out and I had to throw away some food from the freezer, but the owner came quickly and power was running again within 20 minutes or so.

  The stay was great, the place is beautiful and clean, and completely free of any reptiles, insects or mosquitoes. All the staff are friendly and welcoming to guests, especially Mr. Omar and Mr. Mustafa, the manager of the place. Everything was really close to us. It was a really enjoyable stay, I recommend it to everyone.

  What could be improved: Host didn't follow up or reply to calls. The in-host either was asleep or had a locked room, was unavailable upon checkout. Mustafa's response to the situation was "not my problem" and to leave the key on the room's door since there was nobody to hand it in to.
