But honestly, once you figure out the setup, it makes perfect sense. You’re basically getting this cozy studio situation right in the heart of Abu Tig Marina, and I mean *right* there – you can practically roll out of bed and grab coffee at one of those waterfront cafés.

The location is what really sells this place, if I’m being honest. Abu Tig is easily the most charming part of El Gouna (and trust me, I’ve wandered around this entire lagoon town more times than I can count). You’ve got these colorful buildings that look like someone mixed Santorini with a Red Sea fishing village, and the marina itself has this laid-back vibe where you’ll see everything from fancy yachts to local fishing boats. The studio itself is pretty straightforward – clean, functional, nothing too fancy but everything you actually need. The 3-star rating is spot-on; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I appreciate.

What I really loved was being able to walk everywhere without dealing with El Gouna’s tuk-tuk situation (which, don’t get me wrong, is part of the charm, but sometimes you just want to stroll). There’s this great little stretch of restaurants and bars right along the marina – Moods is particularly good if you’re into seafood, and there’s a decent Italian place called La Scala that locals actually go to, not just tourists. The 7.4 rating seems about right; it’s solid, reliable, gets the job done without any major surprises. I did notice some noise from the marina in the early morning when the fishing boats head out, but honestly, it’s kind of nice – reminds you you’re in a real working harbor, not some sterile resort bubble. Check-in was smooth enough, though you’ll want to confirm the exact location beforehand since the whole “studio within a hotel” thing can be confusing. Overall, if you want to be in the thick of El Gouna’s most atmospheric neighborhood without paying resort prices, this place delivers exactly what it promises.

  What could be improved: The curtain was not hung properly which made it very hard to sleep, there were broken and bumpy tiles, and when there was a plumbing issue it took house keeping a very long time to come.

  Great location and good value for money! The room doesn’t have a full kitchen, just a microwave and basic utensils, but it has everything you’d need for a short stay—just no stovetop. The manager is very responsive and quick to help with anything you might need.
  I recommend this place if you’re looking for a budget-friendly spot to enjoy the city.
