You know what caught me off guard about El Gouna Elite? It’s actually tucked away in one of those residential pockets that most tourists never see – I mean, everyone knows El Gouna as this planned resort town, but these private residences sit in the quieter corners where you can hear the waves instead of pool parties. When I first pulled up (parking’s no issue, by the way), I honestly thought I’d made a wrong turn somewhere because it feels more like an upscale neighborhood than a typical Red Sea resort. The entrance is understated in that way expensive places sometimes are, and the whole setup gives you both sea and garden views without feeling like you’re crammed into a hotel corridor with fifty other rooms.

The thing about staying here is that you’re getting the best of both worlds – El Gouna’s infrastructure and dining scene is literally at your doorstep, but you’re sleeping somewhere that actually feels like a home. I spent most evenings on the terrace just watching the light change over the Red Sea, and honestly, the garden areas are way more lush than you’d expect in this desert climate. They’ve got this irrigation system that keeps everything green without that artificial, overwatered resort look. The units themselves are spacious in a way that makes you realize how cramped most hotel rooms actually are – I’m talking proper living spaces with kitchens you’d actually use, not those sad mini-fridges and coffee makers. What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night; El Gouna can be pretty lively, especially around the marina area, but these residences are positioned just far enough from the action that you get proper sleep.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for that all-inclusive, everything-handled-for-you experience, you might feel a bit lost at first. It’s more independent living, which I loved, but you’ll need to venture out for most meals and activities. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point – it’s luxury accommodation without the luxury hotel markup, if that makes sense. The Red Sea diving and snorkeling spots are easily accessible from here, and honestly, staying in actual El Gouna instead of one of those massive Hurghada resort complexes means you’re close to the good local spots without the tourist bus crowds. Just be prepared for the wind – it’s the Red Sea, so there are days when it really picks up, but that’s actually part of the charm. The whole place has this lived-in elegance that you don’t find in cookie-cutter resorts, and after a week here, I was already planning my next trip back.

  Magdy and Sarah went above and beyond to ensure our seamless holiday experience.
  The studio apartment was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Making it easy for me and my wife to navigate. Kudos to Sarah and Magdy for their outstanding service performance and creating a stress-free and welcoming environment for guests. I highly appreciate their dedication to 100% guest satisfaction.

  Sarah and her team are absolutely amazing. The apartment is gorgeous! SO spacious, clean and comfortable. With the most beautiful view. Magdi was so, so nice. One time my husband and I went to the outdoor gym across the apartment (it’s so amazing, you must go!) and he came on his bicycle to bring us water when he noticed we didn’t have any. He is so sweet and thoughtful. Always checking to see if we have everything. They communicated so kindly and I just cannot find enough great words about the apartment and the staff.
  
  My only request is to have better cutlery and kitchen utensils/dinner ware and real ones, not plastic. Including a wine and beer opener. Otherwise the placebos a 10/10!

  Phenomenal location situated in the new marina. Hop and a skip to the beach and great restaurants! Perfect location and phenomenal flat. AC worked incredibly well and great terrace and decks. The perfect stay in Gouna!
