El Gouna spacious flat in Steigenberger Golf

You know what caught me off guard about this place? Walking into what they call a “flat” and realizing it’s actually more spacious than most hotel suites I’ve stayed in. The El Gouna spacious flat sits right in the Steigenberger Golf complex, and honestly, that location is kind of brilliant if you know El Gouna at all. You’re basically in the heart of everything without being stuck in the touristy marina crowds – though you can easily walk there when you want the restaurant scene.

The flat itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room. There’s actual counter space in the kitchenette (I mean, you’re not cooking elaborate meals, but making coffee without juggling everything is nice), and the living area has this lived-in comfort that three-star places don’t usually nail. The golf course views from the balcony are pretty decent too, especially in the early morning when you can watch people teeing off before it gets stupidly hot. Speaking of heat – the AC actually works well here, which isn’t always a given in El Gouna properties. I spent a good chunk of August there and never felt like I was melting indoors.

What really works about this spot is how it connects to the rest of El Gouna. The Club Road location means you’re walking distance from the golf clubhouse (obviously), but also close enough to catch the shuttle boats to different parts of town without the hassle. The whole Steigenberger complex has this quiet, residential vibe during the day – you’ll hear golf carts puttering around and maybe some pool activity, but it’s not the party atmosphere of downtown El Gouna. Evenings are different though, especially weekends when Egyptian families come down from Cairo. It gets livelier but never really loud or obnoxious. Parking was never an issue, which is actually worth mentioning because some parts of El Gouna get pretty jammed up during peak season. The whole setup just feels… practical, I guess? Like someone designed it for people who actually want to relax rather than just take Instagram photos. That 8.8 rating makes sense when you factor in the space, the location, and honestly, the value – you’re getting a lot more room and flexibility than typical hotel accommodations in the area without paying Steigenberger hotel prices.

  This property is absolutely one of a kind! The view of the golf course is breathtaking, and the sense of privacy makes it feel even more special. We spent an evening on the patio, chatting and watching the sunset—it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience.
  
  The apartment is thoughtfully designed and fully equipped with all the amenities you could need, including a fantastic kitchen that made it easy to feel at home. Honestly, I can’t think of a single downside.
  
  The location near the Steigenberger Hotel adds to the charm, with its beautiful grounds that you’re free to explore. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals, and it’s just a short tuk-tuk ride to Abu Tig Marina, where you’ll find an amazing selection of shops and some of the best restaurants in Egypt.
  
  A special shoutout to Layla, the host, who was incredibly kind and helpful. Meeting her was a highlight of our trip—she went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I would 100% choose this apartment over a large resort.
