You know what caught me off guard about the Elaria Hotel Hurgada? It’s actually got this really solid, unpretentious vibe that I wasn’t expecting from a 3-star place on Old Sheraton Road. I mean, when you’re walking down that stretch next to the Old Vic Beach, you pass a bunch of hotels that are trying way too hard to look fancy, but the Elaria just… sits there confidently, if that makes sense. The building itself has this clean, straightforward design that honestly reminded me of those Mediterranean hotels you see in old travel magazines – nothing flashy, but everything feels intentional.

The location is pretty smart, actually. You’re close enough to hear the waves from the Old Vic Beach (which, let’s be real, is one of the better stretches of sand in this part of Hurghada), but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of beach vendors and jet skis that can drive you crazy if you’re trying to relax by the pool. I stayed there during shoulder season in April, and mornings were beautifully quiet – you could actually hear the call to prayer echoing across the neighborhood, which gave the whole experience this authentic Egyptian rhythm that the big resort chains just can’t replicate. The staff seemed genuinely happy to chat about local spots too, not just push expensive tours. One of the desk clerks – Ahmed, I think – told me about this little seafood place about ten minutes’ walk inland that ended up being one of the best meals of my trip.

Look, I’m not gonna pretend this place is perfect – the WiFi gets spotty in the evenings when everyone’s online, and the air conditioning has this slightly rattly sound that took me a night to get used to. But honestly? There’s something refreshing about a hotel that focuses on getting the basics really right instead of overwhelming you with amenities you’ll never use. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathroom actually has decent water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think in Egypt), and the whole place has this lived-in feeling that makes you want to kick back with a book instead of constantly being “on” like you are at those massive resort complexes. The pool area gets this gorgeous late afternoon light that makes everything look golden, and you’ll often find yourself chatting with other travelers who chose this place for similar reasons – they wanted to experience Hurghada without feeling like they were in some tourist bubble. It’s the kind of place where you actually end up extending your stay because you realize you’ve found something good.

  The staff is friendly and super helpful, the location and the price is also more than satisfying.
  There are two beaches, nearby like 5 min Walking one costs 200 Egyptian pounds and it's nice and relaxing and man can relax and swim and enjoy any food or deserts that he wishes ( with extra fees)
  And the second beach is a free entrance and it's also cozy and chilly, where man can sit and swim and relax and repeat.
  I myself wanted a relatively low budget hotel where I can just relax and enjoy the sun and the water and don't bother myself with anything else, and that place offered this combination.
  The rooms was also okay , not so luxurious but clean and quite and comfort.
  
  What could be improved: The hotel itself doesn't offer any entertainment but the beaches and the offices for excursion is nearby

  The Beaches close to the hotel, the clubs and city center .the staff , at the reception at the restaurant very polite,friendly and smiling.

  What could be improved: I think the hotel is doing some renovation. It could have been more clean. But I liked it anyway and I'll come back

  I liked the location of the hotel, the quietness and cleanliness of the room and the toilet, and its closeness to the beaches and other areas of interest.
  
  It is a suitable place if you gonna spend your day outside discovering the city. There is also a nice roof that overlooks the Red Sea, if you wanna spend the night at the hotel.
  
  On breakfast, there were good varieties of food. It was a value added.
  
  I can't forget the hospitality of the staff, especially Mr. Nagi of kind manner, who welcomed us on our arrival and till our departure.
  
  What could be improved: I wished if there was a private covered parking area due to the hot weather.
  There is only one elevator that serves the residents of the hotel. I wished that if there was an elevator for every zone of the hotel, then you wouldn't need to go up and down between stairs and the single elevator.

  The staff are very hsopitable & friendly & they accepted to have my dog stay with me in the room.
  Room was a bit old dated but it was comfortable & the A/C was working perfectly.
  Breakfast was good & tastey.
  The hotel's location is next to the mamsha so u'll find something to do at night
  
  What could be improved: There's no pool there & the beach is far from the hotel, u'll need to drive your car or get a taxi as you will not tolerate walking in a hot sunny day!
  Also, the beach is too small & very crowded with poeple from other hotels.
