You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name sounds like some marketing team had a field day, but honestly, it actually fits once you’re there. Mangroovy Residence sits right in El Gouna – and if you haven’t been to El Gouna, think of it as Egypt’s answer to a planned resort town, but with way more character than that sounds. The whole area was built from scratch in the desert, and somehow they managed to make it feel like it belongs there.

The apartment itself is genuinely edgy in a good way – I mean, most vacation rentals play it safe with beige everything, but this one’s got some personality. The two bedrooms are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over each other, and the living area opens up nicely. What really sold me though was stepping out onto the balcony in the morning. You’ve got this view that takes in both the pool area and glimpses of the Red Sea beyond – it’s one of those moments where you remember why you traveled in the first place. The beach access is legit too, not just some tiny strip of sand they’re calling a beach. You can actually walk down and find a decent spot without fighting crowds, especially if you go early before the day-trippers show up.

The pool situation is pretty sweet – it’s not huge, but it doesn’t need to be. There’s usually space to actually swim rather than just stand around, and the area around it has enough shade if you’re like me and turn into a lobster after twenty minutes in the Egyptian sun. What I appreciated was how quiet it stays, even when there are other people around. The whole Mangroovy complex feels more residential than hotel-y, which means you’re not dealing with that constant vacation chaos. Parking was straightforward, check-in was handled by someone who actually seemed to know the place inside out, and honestly, for a 3-star setup, everything worked the way it should. The location puts you close enough to El Gouna’s main strip that you can walk to restaurants and shops, but far enough that you’re not hearing music until 2 AM. And here’s something the booking sites don’t tell you – the snorkeling right off the beach is actually decent if you bring your own gear. I mean, it’s not world-class, but there’s enough coral and fish to make it worth getting in the water. For what you pay, especially considering you’re getting two full bedrooms and that location, it’s honestly a solid choice if you want something that feels more like staying in a place rather than just passing through one.

  What could be improved: on arrival it seemed to be clean on the surface .. but it desperately needs a deep clean .. needs fumigation as there were ants in the apartment ..
  needs a sweeping brush and shovel .. the person meeting us was late we said we would be there by 2pm .. plus on check in feel there should be a check list before handing over the property to us .. when leaving and waiting for our 5000 deposit we felt the men were looking for damages which there weren’t any .. the electric hob was left the way we found it .. but they were scrutinizing it

  Ein wunderschön eingerichtetes Apartment mit direktem Zugang zum großen Pool.
  
  What could be improved: Die Ausstattung in der Küche in Bezug auf Gläser und dem einen oder anderen scharfen Messer war etwas dürftig. Da wir aber mehrheitlich auswärts gegessen haben, hat es uns nicht so gestört.
  Und die Wohnung hätte ein bisschen sauberer sein können, wobei ich dies auch den klimatischen Umständen zuschreibe (Sand/Staub etc.).

  بالإضافة إلى اني اكتشف شركة اخري تطلب مني مبلغ تأمين 5000 جنية قبل الإستلام غير مبلغ الحجز المدفوع أثناء الحجز لأسوأ إقامة
  ولذلك تكون اخر تجربة 😡
