Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Elgouna Heart Mangroovy,” I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this little two-bedroom spot actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked right on the main Gouna road, which sounds like it might be noisy, but honestly? The way El Gouna is designed with all those lagoons and careful planning, you don’t get the usual Egyptian street chaos here.

What really got me was how new everything feels – I mean, genuinely new, not that fake “recently renovated” stuff where they just slapped some paint over old problems. The two bedrooms are actually spacious enough that you won’t feel like you’re playing Tetris with your luggage, and there’s this nice flow between the living areas that makes it feel more like a proper apartment than a cramped hotel suite. You know what’s funny? The “Mangroovy” part of the name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this laid-back vibe that somehow works even though you’re basically in a resort town that can get pretty busy during peak season.

The location is pretty smart, actually. You’re close enough to walk to the main El Gouna action – the marina, those overpriced but admittedly gorgeous restaurants, the lagoons where people paddleboard at sunset – but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant golf cart traffic that buzzes around the town center. And let’s talk about those golf carts for a second, because if you’ve never been to El Gouna, that’s how everyone gets around. It’s like a weird Egyptian version of a retirement community, but in a charming way. The fact that this place scored an 8.6 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me – it’s one of those properties where the owners clearly thought about what actual travelers need instead of just checking boxes. The air conditioning works properly (crucial in Hurghada heat), there’s decent WiFi, and the kitchen setup means you can actually make coffee in the morning without hunting down room service. Plus, being right on that main road means you can easily grab a taxi or one of those mini-buses to Hurghada proper if you want to venture beyond the El Gouna bubble – though honestly, once you settle into the rhythm of this place, you might not want to leave. Three stars might seem modest, but sometimes that just means fewer crowds and more authentic vibes, you know?

  The owner of the apartment is very friendly and was great with communication. He made sure all the security checks were completed for each person before we arrived as you need QR codes to enter what is in itself essentially a private town in El Gouna.
  
  The pools looked clean, sunbeds were always available and the private beach was only a one minute walk away.
  
  The apartment was very spacious and there were towels and extra bedding stored in the cupboards.
  
  Also had all the utensils required if you wished to use the kitchen facilities.
  
  What could be improved: The cupboard under the sink wasn't cleaned before we arrived and the bin wasn't emptied. The lock on one of the bathroom doors wasn't working properly and the washing machine door wouldn't open.

  The host Ayman was extremely helpful, we were arriving a bit late at night and he picked us up and then dropped us off as well, was easy to reach out throughout the trip if and when we had questions. The flat was really comfortable and clean and mangroovy residence is really a great location with amazing facilities to stay in Gouna

  The Mangroovy apartment complex is really nice and the pool is amazing.
  The host Ayman was always reachable via WhatsApp and even delivered fresh additional towels and blankets.
  Check/in and check-out worked without complications.
