Hotel Description
So I’ve been staying at the Elixir in Hurghada’s Mashrabiya tourist village, and honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you. When you first pull up, it doesn’t scream luxury – I mean, it’s a solid 4-star spot, but the magic is really in the details and how they’ve managed to create this little oasis feeling right in the heart of Hurghada’s hotel zone.
The thing about the Mashrabiya area is that you’re actually perfectly positioned between the marina buzz and the quieter resort strips. You can walk to the marina in about 10 minutes if you’re feeling social, but when you want to escape back to the hotel, it’s tucked away enough that you don’t get the constant street noise that some of the main road properties deal with. The pool area – and this is where the Elixir really shines – has this authentic Egyptian architectural vibe that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. They’ve got these beautiful mashrabiya screens (you know, the traditional wooden lattice work) that actually serve a purpose, filtering the harsh afternoon sun while you’re lounging. I spent way too many afternoons there with a book, and the poolside staff genuinely remembers your drink order after day two.
What really impressed me was how the hotel handles the practicalities that other places overlook. The AC actually works properly – crucial in Hurghada’s heat, trust me. The wifi reaches the pool area (not always a given in Egypt), and the breakfast spread, while not enormous, has proper Egyptian options alongside the standard hotel fare. Their ful medames is actually decent, which tells you the kitchen staff knows what they’re doing. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, though honestly, you’ll probably spend most of your time by the pool or exploring anyway. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff speaks solid English, which makes everything easier when you’re trying to arrange day trips to Luxor or diving excursions. Speaking of diving, they’ve got connections with some of the better dive centers in town – not the tourist trap ones that’ll rush you through sites, but operators who actually care about the reefs. The hotel’s location means you’re close enough to the good dive shops along Sheraton Road without being in the thick of the chaos. I’d say the 7.7 rating is pretty fair – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what you need for a comfortable Hurghada stay without the premium resort prices.

the customer service was really great. The employees were happy and you guys took good care of the customer's safety, especially on the beach, who guided the customers to the sun chair!:) I may see you guys next time💕
What could be improved: the room was good but it would have been better if there was a small kitchen where you could cook something small.Ahmad from Egypt – 21 April 2025 (8/10)
The Room is very Close to the Beach!

What could be improved: Some dangerous areas affected by building sites.Arzu from Turkey – 1 April 2025 (8/10)
The location is perfect. l had a sewiew room, the hotel locates directly seaside. Youssef is very friendly and lots of thanks to FO Manager Hasan for helping free late checkout. Rooms dont have telephone to directly connect with reception. The room was cold and they send my room a fan heater. The beach and the sea is perfect and clean. l like the hotel so much, if l go to Hurghada again, l will prefer Elixir Hotel again. Thanks for everyone, hope to see you again
What could be improved: l think the only probşem was one of the receptionists can not speak English, it was hard to communicate in checkin time and l couldn't pay with card their system wasn't work and l had to go to ATm for cash money.Adam from Sweden – 17 January 2025 (9/10)
Amazing for the price. Comfortable big bed, shower with shampoo and bodywash. A whole kitchen and fridge. A free beach with seats. All for 20$ that i paid a night
What could be improved: Wierd door. My only way in was a sliding door that could only be closed and opened from outside. So to lock the door when i come in i first need to open the door, then go in and then go to the other sliding door that only opens from the inside and open that and go outside to close the other door that only locks from the outside. And then i need to lock it from the outside and then go in again from the door that only closes from the inside and lock that one when im inside. It takes like 2-3 minutes just to fully lock your doorSteve from Germany – 8 January 2025 (8/10)

The staff in general and specially the life guards on the beach were very helpful and polite.
The Italian lady chef in the little italian restaurant was so sweet and her dishes are tasty.
What could be improved: You have to ask for the toiletry things and it is very basic.Hazelyn from Italy – 5 February 2025 (8/10)
The location was very good, supermarket just in front and a nice bar that do karaoke and live music at night. It has a very beautiful pool with a view of the bea. Staff were kind but very poor English so it was very difficult to ask for anything. some maintenance on the rooms is needed.
