Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you – the name “Extremely Private Villa” sounds a bit dramatic, but honestly? They’re not wrong. This place in El Gouna really does feel like you’ve got your own little slice of the Red Sea coast, which is saying something considering how built-up some parts of Hurghada have gotten.
What struck me first was how quiet it actually gets here. El Gouna has this weird magic where you’re close enough to all the action – I mean, you can easily grab a taxi to the marina or hit up those beachfront restaurants everyone talks about – but once you’re back at the villa, it’s just you and maybe the sound of water lapping somewhere in the distance. The pool heating thing is actually worth paying for, by the way. I know it sounds like one of those add-ons they throw at you to squeeze more money out, but Egyptian nights can get surprisingly cool, especially in winter months, and there’s nothing worse than a beautiful pool you can’t actually enjoy. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s vacation home than a typical hotel, which I guess is the point. You’ve got space to spread out, your own kitchen if you want to grab some of that amazing local produce from the market (the tomatoes here, my god), and nobody’s going to judge you for wandering around in your pajamas at 2 PM.
The thing about El Gouna that a lot of people don’t realize until they get here is that it’s basically this planned resort town built on lagoons – sounds artificial, and well, it sort of is, but they’ve done it thoughtfully. You’re not dealing with the chaos of central Hurghada, but you’re also not stuck in some sterile resort bubble. There are actual neighborhoods here, decent coffee shops, and locals who aren’t just trying to sell you a camel ride. From the villa, you can walk to some really solid restaurants without feeling like you need to get dressed up or anything. The whole area has this laid-back vibe that works whether you’re here to dive (the Red Sea diving is legitimately world-class), just want to decompress, or you’re using it as a base to explore the region. Check-in was refreshingly drama-free – none of that lobby chaos you get at the big resort hotels. And parking? Not even a thing to worry about here, which anyone who’s driven around Egyptian tourist areas will appreciate. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

El Gouna is a dream destination the people are very friendly and welcoming. It feels a very safe location. Villa was amazing and in the most central location with the Marina and Downtown within easy walking distance. The Villa is very well equipped and the beds are huge and very comfortable. Pool towels are plentiful and there is very good maintenance of pool and gardens. I can’t wait to get back there
