You know what caught me off guard about Fanadir Marina? It’s one of those places where the location actually lives up to the hype – and honestly, in El Gouna, that’s saying something. I mean, you’re literally steps from the marina with all those sleek yachts bobbing around, but it doesn’t feel touristy or overdone like some of the flashier resorts further south.

The ocean view rooms are the real deal here. I’m talking proper Red Sea views where you can watch the kite surfers doing their thing in the morning (El Gouna’s basically the kite surfing capital of Egypt, if you didn’t know). The pool situation is pretty sweet too – it’s not massive, but it’s got that relaxed vibe where you’re not fighting for loungers at 6 AM. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even when the marina gets busy with the day trip boats heading out to the reefs. The way the building’s positioned, you get the water views without all the engine noise that can drive you crazy at some marina hotels.

Getting around from here is actually easier than I expected. You’re within walking distance of the main Tamr Henna Square area – maybe 10 minutes if you don’t mind the heat, though honestly, just grab one of the tuk-tuks that are always cruising around. The staff genuinely seems to know their stuff about boat trips and diving excursions, which is clutch because there’s so much tourist trap nonsense in Hurghada proper. They hooked me up with a solid reef trip that wasn’t packed with screaming kids, if that tells you anything about their connections. The whole El Gouna vibe is more chilled out than Hurghada anyway – it’s got this planned resort town feel that could be sterile, but somehow works. Maybe it’s all that Nubian-inspired architecture, or just the fact that everything’s walkable and clean. The hotel fits right into that laid-back energy, and the pool access means you can bounce between the Red Sea and chlorinated water depending on your mood (or how choppy the conditions are that day).

  Knowing the area very well, it was a perfect location in Fanadir Marina with easy access to the rest of Gouna. The property was immaculate and had everything we needed. Bestway market is near the apartment as well as a nice cafes and laundry services. Highly recommend staying here.

  We had a fantastic stay! The apartment was in a great location and close to everything we needed. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. They made sure we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay The space was clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed. This definitely won't be our last booking here, I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone visiting El gouna!
