You know how rental descriptions can be total fiction? Well, this 52-square-meter space is legitimately spacious, and I mean properly spacious, not “cozy European apartment” spacious where you’re basically living in a closet.

The location on Al Ismaileya Street is actually pretty smart if you know Hurghada at all. You’re close enough to the action that you can walk to decent restaurants and shops, but far enough from the main tourist strips that you won’t have drunk Russians singing in the hallway at 3 AM (been there, suffered through that). The complex itself has this sort of… well, it’s not luxury, but it’s got character. The kind of place where expats actually live long-term, which is always a good sign because it means the basics work properly – decent water pressure, reliable electricity, that sort of thing that matters when you’re staying more than a weekend.

What really got me was how quiet it is, especially in the evenings. Hurghada can be absolutely chaotic, but this area settles down nicely after sunset. The flat gets good cross-ventilation too – important detail that nobody mentions until you’re sweating through Egyptian summer heat. And honestly, the setup works whether you’re here for diving (which, let’s face it, is probably why you’re in Hurghada) or just need a proper base that doesn’t feel like a hotel room. There’s actual kitchen space where you can make real meals, not just instant noodles on a hot plate. The bathroom’s modern enough that you won’t feel like you’re roughing it, and – this might sound weird but trust me – the shower has proper pressure, which is rarer than you’d think in this price range.

I will say the building’s got that slightly unfinished Egyptian construction vibe going on, you know what I mean? Like they did 95% of the work and then just… stopped. But it’s structural stuff that doesn’t actually affect your stay, just cosmetic things that make you go “huh, interesting choice there.” The neighbors tend to be a mix of long-term visitors and people who work in the tourism industry, so everyone’s pretty chill about noise and generally looks out for each other. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – none of that bureaucratic nightmare you sometimes get where they need seventeen forms of ID and your grandmother’s maiden name.

Look, if you want resort-style amenities and daily housekeeping, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a legitimate home base in Hurghada that won’t eat your entire budget and gives you room to actually live like a human being for a while, this place makes a lot of sense. The value proposition is honestly pretty hard to beat, especially considering how much the fancy hotels charge for what amounts to a fancy prison cell with a view.

  Very clean with everything you need for a holiday. This is my 3rd visit. The location is someway out of hurghada which suited me. About 10 minutes to el Gouna.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing really. That's why I come back to this apartment.
