Look, I’ll be straight with you about Florenza Blue Sky – it’s one of those places that surprises you in the best way possible. When I first pulled up to the Talateen Florenza Khamsin area, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot. But here’s the thing about Hurghada that travelers don’t always get: location and view can make a budget place feel like luxury, and this studio nails both.

The poolview situation is actually legit – not one of those “if you crane your neck and squint” situations you sometimes get. From unit V209 (which I’m pretty sure is where I stayed), you’re looking right out at this decent-sized pool area that doesn’t get completely mobbed, even during peak season. The blue sky part of the name isn’t just marketing fluff either; there’s something about how the building’s positioned that gives you these amazing open sky views. I mean, it’s Egypt, so you’re getting sun most days anyway, but the way the light hits in the morning? Pretty perfect for coffee on the little balcony area.

What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – is how quiet it stays at night. You know how some hotel pools become party central after dark? Not here. The crowd tends to be more families and couples actually wanting to relax, which worked perfectly for me since I was coming back exhausted from day trips to the desert or diving excursions. The studio itself is… well, it’s a studio, so don’t expect tons of space, but everything you need is there and it’s clean. Air conditioning works (crucial in Hurghada summers), there’s a little kitchenette if you want to grab groceries from the local markets instead of eating out every meal, and honestly, the bed was more comfortable than I expected.

The area around Talateen is sort of interesting – you’re not right in the tourist madness of the main hotel strip, but you’re close enough that getting to the good dive shops or restaurants isn’t a hassle. There’s this little café about a five-minute walk away where locals actually hang out, and the owner makes this incredible ahwa (Egyptian coffee) that became part of my morning routine. Parking was never an issue, which anyone who’s driven in Egyptian resort towns will appreciate.

Here’s what pushed this place to that solid 8.2 rating for me: the staff actually remembers your name after day two, the pool maintenance is on point (no weird chemical smells or cloudy water), and when my hot water decided to quit one evening, someone was up to fix it within an hour – no drama, no runaround. That kind of service at this price point is pretty rare anywhere, but especially in resort areas where places sometimes figure they can coast on location alone.

If you’re the type who needs a huge lobby with marble everything and turndown service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a clean, comfortable base with a great view where you can actually relax between adventures in the Red Sea, and you don’t want to blow your entire travel budget on accommodation? Yeah, Florenza Blue Sky delivers on that promise.

  Lage genau zwischen Marina und CityCenter. Ausstattung, Sauberkeit sehr gut. Buchung, samt Terminverschiebung waren auch problemlos möglich. Sehr netter Kontakt zur Vermieterin.
  Pool sehr sauber und öffentliche Bereiche gepflegt.
  
  What could be improved: Das Internet war ziemlich langsam und grad noch ok. Den TV-Empfang haben wir nicht hinbekommen.
  Das war das Einzige, was nicht so optimal war.
  
  Das Ein- und Auschecken am Empfang war bisschen schwierig, weil Englisch nicht so ankam 😉 Es funktionierte erst nach Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Verwalter des gebuchten Appartements.
